Classics toy sightings

Post by Denyer »

"It would be particularly helpful if people would state the city and state where they find the figures they're bragging about. Let's also try and keep the discussions about the figures [in the sightings threads] to a minimum [since you can always start a new thread for specific stuff]" --Sir Auros

Nevermore suggests this format would be useful:

NAME OF TOY: Megatron, Optimus Prime, Starscream, Bumblebee, Astrotrain, Rodimus

SIGHTED AT STORE: Mills Fleet Farm

CITY: Fond du Lac, Wisconsin

DATE: October 14, 2006

COMMENTS: I saw the Classics line listed in their annual Holiday catalog and headed out there on Saturday to check it out when it opened up. They had all of the initial wave, at least a half-dozen of each from what I saw. Megatron & Optimus were $18.99 and all the others where $7.79 each. Grabbed'em all!

I think my local Target jumped the gun a little...which is so unfortunate that they got them out so early, but I have not seen them since. The pegs are still there, but they've been empty everytime I've gone in.

NAME OF TOY: Rodimus and Bumblebee

SIGHTED AT STORE: Super Target

CITY: Kemah, TX

DATE: 10/6/06

COMMENTS (quantity left etc.): I think my local Target jumped the gun a little I was surprised when I saw them (especailly now that I see everyone else's dates...I'll check the receipt when I get home). Which is so unfortunate that they got them out so early, but they haven't restocked yet. The pegs are still there, but they've been empty everytime I've gone in. At the time, I grabbed the last Rodimus and there were two or three Bumblebees. Everytime I've gone in since then, all I've seen is the one Bumblebee left that isn't selling, apparently.

EDIT: I checked...it was actually a day earlier on the 6th. But who cares if they got it out early if they aren't going to restock. :(

Classics are now shipping & have been found!

Post by Ford DeceptiFocus »

Found the entire wave 1 of Classics at TRU at TWO locations in Los Angeles/Culver City after work today.

Picked up Starscream, Bumblebee, Rodimus, and Astrotrain. Figured my better half would pick me up Megs & OP for Xmas. ;)

Many people have found the first waves of both the Classic Deluxes and the Classic Voyagers for the past two months.

Yeh, but they weren't attention whores. Well, most of them weren't. Well, a couple of them weren't. Well, they all were, but they bothered looking around the forum before posting.

Apparently Michael Bay's doing a film on Transformers, though, so maybe someone could start a topic on that? Or on this new Beast Machines thing that's in the pipeline?
