TFArchive.com (I'm interested, so sue me....)
Before the "jokes" ensue *sues myself*
Now to the point of the thread (yes, there is one)
I'm interested to see how many of you visit TFArchive.com the website, not just the MB, but the site that I'm not semi-responsible for along with the board you all love (to hate - optional).
Simple poll, yes or no answer.

I never visit the rest of the TF Archive, on account of the fact o' my half speed dial-up. I would like to download episodes and all the other goodies, but its just not possible, and I don't live in an area that offer's cable, broadband etc, just cracky phone lines.
In actual fact, for quite a while I was only aware of the forums, thinking that was the whole of the Archive. I'm always slow on the uptake, up on the downside etc.
I really should notice more, it only takes a minute, girl.

I do! I do!
I appreciate all the time and energy everyone puts into the site, and this board, (looks around for cut scene from BW where G1 Megs gets his spark back from BW Megs........)
I'm not on it quite as much as I usually am, as I need season 1 of BW and that won't be back up till June. I do visit the other portions of the site on a regular basis. It's by far the best archivial Transformers site out there. The only one on the web that I've seen with an extensive selection of episodes for download.
The Plant: Maybe you can take some consolation in the fact that something you helped create is making people happy.
Stone Cold Skywarp: Oh look at me, I'm making people happy. I'm the magical man, from Happyland. In a gumdrop house, on Lollipop Lane.
Oh, by the way, I was being sarcastic.
The Plant: Well duh.

I voted no because I don't go there often. I do on occassion, but now that I have the episodes, I don't frequent the actual site much.

You see, I have the same problem, but I'm too stuborn for that to stop me. I have a 53kb/s connection (yes, I know that's odd, I have very old phone lines), and I STILL have managed to dl 5/6 of all the BW episodes, takes about a day to dl a single ep, but I'm determined. Next is BM!Originally posted by Windcharger

Hi Skywarp,
Thanks for the info. Seeing as how The Plant says it takes him a day to download an episode on his 56k, is there any chance I would be able to do the same? With me the phone lines are bad enough that I am forced to connect on a v.36k modem script, which maxxes out the connection at a blistering 28.8k and from that I seem to average about 20k.
I'm thinking at lada-friendly speeds like this I'd be more successful in chewing my own legs off and nibbling the leg bones into intricately carved welsh love spoons while pouring vinegar and salt into all my eyes before I reach a full episode.
At real 56k it may well be possible. What's your opinion of my chronically hobbled excuse for a line?

Best idea I've seen all day...Originally posted by StoneCold Skywarp
*Proceeds to kill The Plant - violently*
Strange thing is that for all the time I spend here, I rarely drop in on the main page...I guess cuz I ain't got any fanfics, etc. to be proud of, though I do have my (soon to be renamed) rants...
I dl'd all the pics I ever wanted a long time ago, I own all the G1 eps, and I don't have the connection/HD space to DL any of the other series. That's really all there is to it.

Uhm, in honesty, without something like Go!Zilla or the like I'd not try it, I used to d/l eps on a 33.6k and it'd take about a day and a half.
People, realise that there's more to TFArchive.com than just episode downloads though, there's a whole wealth of content on the site to check out!!

I always forget about the extra content other than the episodes. The last time I went there I was checking out the toy reviews, of which there were about four. There was also something like 'sound clips', the odd sentense or soundbite from an episode.
Once I had bookmarked the site to load straight into the TF archive 'forums' home' page, I usually never go anywhere else.
I do like those toy reviews though, a really cool idea. Particularly as Sunstreaker was there in all his yellow lambourghini type glory. I never ever saw Sunstreaker as a kid, and he was always an interesting looking robot, because I could never figure out all the chrome stuff around his head and why his feet were the same size as Sideswipe's chest.
