{Essay} Nationalist Movement {Semi-Radical}
The arguements based in this essay aren't my personal opinions; I've written it in a radical sense- as my History teacher wanted it.
Please excuse my poor diction, grammar, and lack of any real arguement.

Nationalism is one of the great political driving forces of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The process of building nations and nation-states fundamentally changed the map of Europe and other parts of the world. Even today it is probably a more powerful ideological and political force than the idea of freedom, democracy or communism. Important ideologies of nationalism are historical and cultural identity. History is the basis of culture; culture creates identity. Identity is the fundamental aspect of a nation; it defines what is a nation and what it is to be a part of that nation (cultural identity). For some, race defines the nation. Hitler, for example, held that anyone of pure Germanic 'Aryan blood' could be a member of the Third Reich-irrelevant of language or culture. Modern day nationalism in Britain, in Wales for example, language is a crucial key. Organization and isolation of a nation is also vital in the structure and order of racial movement. Mingling and adoptions of foreign traditions hinder one’s ethnic history, loyalty, comprehension, and notability. For example, the isolation and the demands from the allied powers of WW1 (Britain, France and America) came the Treaty of Versailles, which led to the creation of the Nazi Party in 1919-1920. This formed one of the most prominent and powerful nationalistic groups in history, and the rising, through the leadership of the National Socialist German Workers' Party, which controlled Germany during 1933-1945, of Adolf Hitler. Other effects of nationalism, which support nationalist expansion, are knowledge and pride of and to one’s history and culture. This maintains tradition, extending one’s cultural ideologies, which intensify one’s intellectual abilities.
When alien peoples stain one’s culture this pollutes, dilutes, and strips one’s national identity. If Hitler or Napoleon supported diversity, then their affect wouldn’t have been as great. Hitler’s emphasizing of separation of cultures, and dominance strengthened the German nation. Also, racial peoples are more comfortable with their own kind; foreign interaction results in awkwardness. Napoleon, knowing this, came into power within his own country, making him more acceptable to rule the French. If Napoleon had not been French, his welcome into the French government would not be tolerated; therefore, the isolation of nations betters the chance of power and knowledge. Keeping this chauvinistic viewpoint helps create a more equitable society, maintaining order. If the mixing of cultures contaminated Hitler’s Nazi nation, their power and determination would not have been as profound. Diversity confuses and weakens a nation’s identity. Distinctive characteristics of race equal discernment of a nation.
Distinct, opposite characteristics will benefit from this isolation, maintaining tradition, which also stabilizes and demystifies one’s cultural character. Hitler, in his act of strengthening the German nation, supported the Germans in enveloping themselves with their national makeup. This came in order to develop into more culturally aware Germans, which would further their patriotic views towards Hitler and the fatherland. Through the act of segregation one can succeed in maintaining one’s culture. Insulation of a nation intensifies one’s knowledge of one’s ethnic history. Team work and social structure evolves from racial separation, supporting the expressive emotion of hate. This builds the mind to new heights, destroying naive judgement and offering realistic thought. Through all of Hitler’s ideologies, his hate-provoking actions helped distinguish reality. This, in turn, brought the Germans into loving Hitler, for he exposed the realistic good of pride for one’s country. The uprising of Germany, which was due to his actions, offering pride, also heightened Germany’s racialism.
Pride for one’s ethnicity, government and country are the inevitable keys to nationalistic movement. This pride was very crucial for Hitler, for Germany’s self-importance, for in which one required knowledge of Hitler’s theories, supported his power and reign of Germany, succeeding in nationalist expansion. When one maintains tradition, one can grow from one’s ethnic religious and/or cultural beliefs. Hitler’s beliefs and ways of maintaining nationalistic power were conquered through his emphasis of maintaining German history, tradition, and cultural beliefs. This led to his ideology of sustaining pure German culture, which was one of the main doctrines of the Third Reich. Although Hitler used anti-Semitism (Jewish ideology) as a scapegoat for Germany’s economic stagnation, he also supported Ley's "Strength Through Joy" labor program which emphasized upon youth indoctrination. This strengthened nationalistic passion throughout the German youth, leading to the extension of German patriotism, crucial to the rising of the Nazis. Even though Hitler deteriorated other nations, ruling them to the Nazi ideology, he still inspired the working class Germans, convincing them to work as a team. Thus, this bettered the German economy, stabilizing the German nation. Another act of Hitler that truly expressed his need for nationalistic pride, was his hosting of the 1936 Olympics. This greatly affected the Germans, for it revealed the achievements of what one nation could accomplish with hard work, which was one of the many pride-driven ideologies of the Nazis Party.
Through one man’s artistic ambition, a once-depraved and poverty-stricken country was secured and corrected; guided by hate, patriotism, and racialism. It is true that Hitler, and other nationalistic figures such as Napoleon have demolished millions, spreading hate, but hate is true art in the form of human emotion. According to the French philosopher, Diderot, hate, terror and fear are excellent sensations for they express true, artistic emotion and intelligence. Nationalism invigorated Germany and France’s cultural identity, increasing knowledge and pride. Foreign beliefs, religion, lifestyles and cultures clash, causing disruptive acts and chaos in a nation’s society; therefore, segregation maintains peace and equality. The importance of nationalistic movement is high, for it has changed history, altering people’s lives, through amazing and horrible, nationalist expansion has molded society of what it is today.
Please excuse my poor diction, grammar, and lack of any real arguement.

That's some good propaganda. Put together so that it seems well-reasoned and logical. Until you take a moment to think about what you actually said, anyway. Then you realize the fact that there is no arguement being made, and the whole point is to slander those the writer disagrees with...which is exactly the point of propaganda. Stuff like that is what got Hitler & co. into power in the first place, you know. You'd be surprised how many people would accept stuff like that without giving it a second thought. You don't believe any of that, I hope. If you managed to write that, without agreeing with it, perhaps you should look into a career in Public Relations...

in the italic writing before the essay, I said that the essay wasn't my own personal opinion...
yes, it is propaganda... and I think I did a great job
yes, I know that about Hitler.. I researched so much on him for this essay...
What's scary for me about reading that is that you can see that kind of nationalistic behaviour in so many people here in the US right now. In fact isolationism and nationalism seems to be promoted by our current government. What's even more scary is that I can see someone like George W. Bush actually defending some of the points made in the essay as sensible.
*sighs*

Hateful? Maybe. But they appeal to two of the most basic parts of the human mind: fear of those who are different, and arrogant, self-serving pride. That's why facism is such an easy sell. That's why Islamic terrorism has so many willing recruits. And that's why Bush has so much support. Fear and pride. Not a good mix.
