Didn't know where this should go, but this seems like a good enough place.

That alternators Mirage posted on the front page...
I know it says it's a kitbash, but I don't buy it. It looks like it was done by a proffessional in their spare time.
Maybe these will be bootlegged? Or licensed by takara? That's the first alternator mold I've seen in a while that looks really spiffy...
The Megatron looks intriguing, too...

Yes, it does look professional—so does the Sideswipe modification. However, you can see the paint apps in the close-ups. It's not official, but it does use a number of parts from Dead End.
Just how does this guy plan not getting sued for this? I mean, he's plastered official names, trademarks and logos all over the box, is even using the Hasbro logo, and is asking money for it... Sure that's breaking a law or two, right?
Looking for a complete Energon Sky Shadow (from Superion Maximus).
Offering: Binaltech Hound, Swindle, Ravage (Corvette), Skids.
Can buy in stores: Robot Heroes Tigatron/Inferno, Ricochet/Predaking.

Well, Mirage's boxes, Reprolabels and even to an extent KCC do that. I think Hasbro realise that one kitbash isn't going to bring their entire multinational crashing around their ears. If you come down to it, lots of stuff within Transformers fandom breaks "a law or two". I'd expect professional knock-off makers to be higher on the list. It's not like the one guy who will own this [or maybe a small handful, if the seller can be bothered - not likely to be more than, say 20 made, is there?] is going to go "**** off" if/when an actual Alternators Mirage arrives, is it?
I like the robot mode. The car looks like ass, though.

To be blunt, because Hasbro doesn't chase small fry who aren't competing with them. I seem vaguely to recall there are also numeric and monetary limits on kitbashing before they're deemed infringing in a big legal way, provided everything is clearly marked that it's in no way official.Originally posted by Nevermore

For example, the guy selling a batch of black Tracks repaints in packaging designed to mimic an existing Takara limited edition got rightly screwed...

Personally, I go for it. (Megatron) Considering what he had to work with. I do have to say that close-up pics from the other side really make it look good, especially with to-scale German soldiers crawling all over it.
