No Flames on Optimus Prime online petition
If anybody else is GREATLY opposed to our Autobots hero being covered in flames in the new movie... please help the cause by signing the "Keep Your Flames Away From My Optimus Prime" online petition. We are already almost 4,000 signatures strong... so if you feel the same, help our voice be heard!

Shirley we could set up a 100 posts minimum or something, and sort out exceptions for, I dunno, any IDW peeps who want to use it?
It does seem to be worse the past few days... some of these attention whores must have twigged they go on the front page automatically, rather than being picked and/or vetted first...
Is there a way new threads could be set up to wait for approval before they're actually posted?Originally posted by Cliffjumper

It wouldn't be too much a of a problem as long as someone kept up on it. I'd imagine there's almost always someone from the staff here everyday...

So, you guys don't have coordinated shifts with twenty four hour coverage or anything, then? I mean, as you have, like, lives and all, and this is unpaid work, I can see how that might not happen, but I have been curious. (You do always seem to have it covered so quickly when any problem arises.)
no, no shifts. Most of the staffers are just on at regular intervals. Denyer might actually be an AI program- or at least that's the going theory since he's around so much.
It's nice that the board staff comes from all over the world really- because the time schedules when they're all on are different. Means someone's usually around to address any issues.

Hey, I have some more ideas for awesome new campaigns:
"No black stripes on Bumblebee"
"No evil police cars"
"Gun not spaceship"
"No humans in the movie"
"We want Soundwave"
And some more inane stuff that will OBVIOUSLY cause them to totally change a movie that's already way into production.

I love online petitions, though. Half of the signatures are saying they like the flames, and post of the rest are just pushing their own agendas. Plus 99% of people threatening to boycott the film are lying... they might not like it, but the curiosity for most fans will prove too much. Not that 4000 people would be anywhere near 1% of the takings anyway...

Well, I suppose it's possible they might paint over the flames, and then spend lots of money going through the stuff allready shoot frame by frame to remove the flames. But then they'll probably paint him blue and then another online petition will have to be started to get him the right colour...

So...if the petition works and they get rid of the flames, will the same people end up making a new petition to make Prime's alt mode two-tone? "Where's Prime's blue!?!" "Where's Prime's red!?!"
Just wonderin'.
Just wonderin'.

Yep, I hear it's brought us to the brink of a third world war...
