New Hasbro product preview 11/19/04

Post by Nevermore »

http://www.hasbro.com/transformers/ener ... efault.cfm

Universe Cheetor
Beast mode / Robot mode

Universe Bonecrusher
Vehicle mode / Robot mode

NOTE: Bonecrusher is erroneously labelled as "Energon". In fact, Energon Bonecrusher was already previewed here, in his case erroneously labelled as "Universe". I guess someone got the pics mixed up.

Energon Wideload
Vehicle mode / Robot mode

Energon Blackout
Copter mode / Robot mode

NOTE that Blackout was previously supposed to be named "Raptor".

Energon Blight
Tank mode / Robot mode

NOTE that Blight was previously supposed to be named "Scattorshot", a name that has been given to the Shockblast repaint) previously planned to be named "Sixshot") instead.

On a sidenote, I also updated the Energon combiner overview accordingly.
Looking for a complete Energon Sky Shadow (from Superion Maximus).
Offering: Binaltech Hound, Swindle, Ravage (Corvette), Skids.
Can buy in stores: Robot Heroes Tigatron/Inferno, Ricochet/Predaking.

Yes, Cheetor is impressive. May get him, in spite of the fact that I have Catscan.

The more I look at it, the more I fall in love with it. Night Slash is definitley the coolest cheetor mold (of the ones I have, at least. Of course, the Ravage ermold and TM2 mold come really close in coolness, but the spring-loaded swords really seal the deal), and the fact that they've made it look like a cheetah really rocks. Did anyone else notice that the "spots" look like blast damage? Now, that's detailing!

Cheetor is beautiful, and I rarely use that that adjective when describing trasformer toys.

When that Cheetor becomes available, I've got a favour to ask from some our US member. :)

Well come on same s#!t diferent pile. I'm not one for collecting transformers that change into animals. Most of the time in my opinion they have great alt. modes but always leave something to be desired in robot mode

That's quite insulting to those of us, who are beast fans. About the only thing more insulting was when Don Murphy called the dinobots and beasts sh*t.

BTW, did I mention that I really love that Cheetor?

Different lines—hence the new name, very different cartoon series, etc.

Nope. I tend to like the new paint jobs half the time.

I never said that it was a bad show or bad toys. It's just I never really got into beast anything. I was already in high school when they came out. I really like this version of chetor and plan on buying him if i get the oportunity. Hey never ment to insult anyone who is found of them. You have a place for beast (WHATEVER) just like I have a place for G1

I was three years out of high school when BW came out. I like them as much as I like G1. :) In reality, the only Transformers I detest are those produced in the US during '91-'92.1

Cheetor looks good. I figured he would be an inevitable choice for a Universe figure.
Bonecrusher is pretty much what I expected would eventually happen with the Build Boy mold. As long as 'Build King' Devastator lacks the fit problems the yellow Landfill has, I'd say he's good.
The Energon figures look all right as well.

1 Yes, I know there were no US Transformers produced during the 'Great Drought'.

Beast Wars started when I just got out of High School. Funny thing was, I never got into it until almost two years later, when the Agenda Trilogy aired. That reeled me in and kept me here. Been a renewed fan ever since. I love G1 and BW just as much, though I'm not really a BM fan.

As for the toys, the BM beast figures tend to be the same thing in my mine. Great beast forms, terrible robot modes. (My opinion.) I never could get into them, honestly. And even then, there were a few Vehicons I really liked all around.

In any case, if these are selling and keeping the Hasbro market going so we can get other stuff that's new? Cool stuff. Though, they should stop making a habit out of it, or at least modify the repaints a little bit more all around.
