Whoops! I missed my own ten year mark
Whoops! I missed my own ten year mark
Apparently I've been registered and posting for ten years and one week now. That's... a long time to stick to a forum, and doubly so to see many of the same people here as when I started. Not entirely sure what kind of action is apropos to celebrate an anniversary like that, so I'll turn on all the lights and run the faucets for you all before I go to bed.

Bah. Come back when you've been here ten years and a couple of months, then I'll be impressed.
After that it stops being impressive though.
Perhaps we should have a parade with all our dear departed posters coming back to wish Clay well? thefallenone, cocorubs, Claypool (who could perhaps have a sensual wrestle with Clay over who gets to be refered to as Clay), Daemolisher, Hound.
I miss them all.

Crap, missed mine as well. About a month "older" than you.
time flies by. Still remember that you and I used to write most/all the Binaltech reviews.
Also remember my friend dedicon from back then, from Israel. He was an avid reviewer as well. Kept in touch with him for some years but then kind of got lost.

Few stuff in the UK to trade/sell. Measly sales thread.
Good to still have you (and others). If anything were to go tits up, I'm sure we'd be able to figure out some continuity for the forum, it's sticky in a generally good way.
And it has reached the stage where conversations I remember being a few years ago at most were actually a decade plus.

Nuking from orbit is the only way to be sure.inflatable dalek wrote:I miss them all.

I know how that feels. I registered to 3D Realms message board way back in 2000.
Feels like I lived a totally different life back then...probably because I did.
I was an overweight Korean woman then, see.
But anyway...been sticking around here for about eight years myself despite some rather baffling attempts to make me feel unwelcome for some reason

Nicely done, sir. But how in the world did you remember your login and password that long? Surely the sticky note on the monitor had long since fallen off?Tripredacus wrote:On a side note, I registered here over 10 years ago. Apparently, this is my first post.

I guessed. I had a system for passwords back then, I got it on my second attempt. As for how I came to know I had an account, that is a different story. I was reading some history of the fandom and found a thread that looked familiar, so I had to check.Clay wrote:Nicely done, sir.
