Archive Awards on hold?

About a month ago I believe someone raised a point of having the 2002 Archive Awards as like a feel good type thing.

I was just wondering where are they?

Well, if we're gonna do them shouldn't we have like categories and stuff for people to vote in? what categories should we have?

And only positive categories methinks so we avoid any flaming.

Whaddya say? 2002 Awards scheduled for Saturday June 15th 2002?

We could even have like guest hosts to present awards and stuff?

I like the idea, I think there should be negative awards as well, no offense or anything, more awards the better!

No negative awards because not everybody can take a joke unless everyone agrees to it.

Why wait? The question is "Why start earlier?" It's best to pick a date and stick with it from then on. If you're so bored that you want the awards to start early, you should instead work on posts that'll get you some accolades.

Anyone remember what the categories were to this thing? I can only recall a couple...
Archiver of the year, alliance of the year, newbie of the year.

I know there were like six or seven, but the voting and awarding last year was done well before we got to the new board here.

Comeback of the Year
Alliance of the Year
Feud of the Year

Staff Member of the Year
Catch Phrase of the Year
Sig of the Year

And I think we'll finalize the categories in June, select nominations in July, and vote and determine the winners in August. Fair enough?
