BBTS latest newsletter reports Smokescreen is the next reissue and Megatron will be re-released again.

Just order it from BBTS, or anywhere else online. Just because it can't be "officially" released here doesn't mean it can't be imported.
It's what I'm gonna do.
Too bad his gun accessories aren't going to be included. Maybe we can talk that online replacement-part-person to make some.

I've only found one place that's taking orders for Megatron's reissue. I've never used them before, so I have no idea how reliable they are, but it looks like they're keeping the price somewhat cheap. It's Dave's World. They've got Smokescreen for $30, Megatron for $75, and the Silver Bluestreak is $45 ($10 less than everywhere else, it seems). Just how limited are SS and Megs going to be? Anybody know if we should be placing our orders ASAP to guarantee we get one or what?

I just went to Seibertron, who posted this tidbit of news.

"... again we will not be able to import or sell them (Megatron) because of the US Toy Gun laws prohibiting the import and sale of any realistic toy gun... Megatron obviously is very very realistic so we will not import or sell them. The safety of children is too important to risk on an item like this. Very sorry for the inconvenience, but we choose to take the 'high road' on this issue."

Try asking the retailers to TF himinto robot mode in the box. Or tightening up gun laws so it isn't a problem...

Whats the diffrence between megatron and megaplex besides the color or is this another takara repaint things like the tracks and skids thing?

I think they should do a reissue Actionmaster Megs with the fusion cannon, and reissue a whole bunch of other actionmasters. Hell, they could reissue them as a set. I'd at least want Megatron, Prowl, Starscream, Grimloc, Jazz, Blaster, Shockwave, Soundwave, Inferno, and Optimus in that set (I all ready have optimus from my new year set, but I would expect him to be in a reissue box set. They could even make new actionmaster characters of classic bots that never had the chance to be immortalized before.
