Looks like the color scheme for the cancelled (?) Universe Transmetal Waspinator test shot we saw last year...

I do like the colors. But the toy is terrible as I have the original. *Skyshadow*

That's why I'm glad I'm not even going to Botcon.

Following the general rule that you want to lead in with not your best, but one of your best (if you're trying to generate interest), the prospects for the rest of the set look pretty bleak.

A shelfwarming toy, repainted, into the same non-character that was a shelfwarmer.. but now in different colors...

Um, yeah, I see a lot of people clamouring at the bit for this one. Oy.

Maybe the next preview will be more enticing.

Not going/buying anyway, but I am curious to see what else they might do. They'll definitely have to do a LOT better than this.

EDIT: The Ironhide paintjob looks nicely done. The leaked Ratchet picture looks promising as well. Even as exclusives (and as repaints), it's about time those two got decent toys.

Buzzclaw was a decent Fuzor toy and this looks like a pretty good repaint. Even so, it's not worth one-thirty-fifth the absurd price they're gouging us for, much less one-seventh. This had better be the worst of the lot.

At least they are nice enough to show us the toys so we will know if we want them or not before we preorder...
Really want the original(basic) Rattrap's gun. Please PM me if you have one you might spare!

Lovely picture of Fallback, can't even see his face.

We went from the possibility of either Brawn or Roadbuster to another nameless repaint (though it is a nicer version that E Strongarm....)

It seems like they aren't even putting a lot of effort into the repaint\remoulds....... oh wait, we haven't seen a remould yet....

Fallback is a Jipe homage. :D

You know, it's quite disturbing that you're right on that....

I take back my comment: He's no longer a nameless repaint..... he is a repaint of an obscure brazillian TF that 98% of the fans have no idea about.....

I still say he would have made a beautiful Hound, if anyone thought about it.....

why repaint him as Hound? enough hommages already in the mainline, and it bothered me a lot that most Botcon Exclusives used toys of cartoon characters (Fractyl, Packrat, Antagony, Sandstorm, Doublepunch, Windrazotr, Tigatron, Arcee, Shockaract, Apelinq, ..)

exclusive toys should be a means to create new and distinctly different characters that are yet very appealing in both mold as colorsheme and character

Given the fact that the only Transformers figure, of any line, at my local WalMart is Energon Strongarm adn the fact that there is about 12 of those at last count, tells me that this mold is not very appealing ;)

Personally, I have very little interest in repaints for the most part. That interest goes down even more when the original figures are still widely available.

I'd much rather see something older or unique. G1-Trailbreaker would be an interesting addition, considering Hasbro re-released Hoist not too long ago...

So, what's the deal with the collector's club using the same molds I can buy for $5-7 at a store? Do they have a fetish for ripping people off? Really, I keep wishing that the next exclusive demonstrates that they're not just trying to milk fans for every penny they've got, or that they'll release a letter, saying "Just kidding, guys. We're refunding 50% of the collector's club dues and the convention is actually going to cost everyone only half as much." At this rate, they'll have to include two supremes in order to justify the price . . .

PASS!!!
