G2 dark?

it might have been just me, but did it seem the Generation 2 was quite dark for a TF series? or is it just me?

It's a generally accepted fact that Gen 2 was darker than anything prior to it.

Rendering this topic about as worthwhile a discussion as "gosh, isn't Wheelie's speech pattern irritating after a while?"

Because the writer was given free reign. Most of Furman's original material for the US title is similar.

The only parts I find "Dark" are San Fansisco getting blown away, and the Swam devoring the G1//G2 TFs.

The reason it's dark is because they let Yaniger do his own inking. He must've got through one of those big 40-pen set of Bic biros for #1...

True. He must have had a surplus of yellow too, given the size and prominence of Megatron's teeth in several issues.

i found alot of furmans uk material to be rather dark....the black and white stuff about rodimus when hes really old and such.
