Pretty decent with some good examples of what animators can do. I have high hopes for this project. The pure CG sequences are decent indicators of what we can expect in the way of bot-on-bot combat.

And an appearance from Spielberg...we truly are blessed.

The test footage looks really good...except the robot modes looks to scrawny. That giant transforming plane looked wicked.

What the crap?

The one part with the white plane is from this movie called "the Returner" why the hell did they use that?

The music drove me insane (hate that theme) but the conceptual animation looks pretty tight. I especially liked Helicopter-Soundwave and the bit where the Autobot goes from car to robot and drops the guy out onto the street.

Really? The animators might be using it as reference material. That's odd they threw it in the promo, though.

Stuff looks good but I don't know if I saw any actual movie footage. In all honesty, I didn't even know they were up to that phase where they even made anything since I thought they were still having problems with the script. I recognized that one VW Beetle transforming a bunch of times and there were a lot of clips in there from the Energon line and some Cybertron as well.

The new stuff was previs (pre-visualization) footage. So no, absolutely no finished movie footage.

Soundwave looks amazing as a chopper.

The footage of the VW transforming was a fan film, I'm pretty sure the guy who made it was called Michael Smith. I liked the helicoptor, I didn't realise it was Soundwave though!

Looks promising, let's hope it all goes well :D

I don't mind them changing alt modes...but the Soundwave one is a bit puzzling. You know, when I was a kid, I always thought Cop-Tur and Soundwave were similar...I guess they're just combining the two. heh heh

Sorry for being negative and everything...but i really dont like Soundwave as a helicopter...it looks like armada cyclonus' body with a weird soundwave head.

I know that this can change throughout the production of the movie but i would have preferred a musical alt mode as suggested by hasbro.

Can't they take an idea from IDW? Didnt THEY create a new sound-based alt mode for Soundwave?

Not being a "G1 fanatic" or anything, but i would have preferred if they "hid" the helicopter elements a bit better while SW was in robot mode (i.e. retract propellor blades).

Thinking about it, if they leave his blades out, then he can spin them and slice some Autobots up with them :D

As far as i can remember they couldn't think of a new sound based alt form for him and are leaving him out because of this fact.

Didn't a fan by the name of WMD redesign Soundwave as a pickup truck, with the cassettes as speakers in the back of the truck? That would look cool. I can't remember what site the artwork is posted on, but I know Fourth_heir belongs to the same site as WMD, maybe he'll know.
