While there are people that would castrate you for opening a sealed item, my opinion is that if you want to do it, then do it.

Of course you should try to find a loose one first. (Unless its something from like Energon, Armada, Universe or RID)

if it was mosc(mint on sealed card) i would be careful, but if its moc(meaning it must have been opened unless he mentioned otherwise)than i see no reason for not opening it again.
and even if it is sealed,as denyer said, its your toy.
trust me,if you keep the card and all the things included in it, you will be able to buy it for a very nice price one day.even if you opened it.
Really want the original(basic) Rattrap's gun. Please PM me if you have one you might spare!

So, it´s sealed. Did you buy it as an investment? Then put it in a safe and wait a few years for it to become more valuable.

If not, open it - carefully. What´s the point in buying a transformer(which are mostly intended as a TOY) if you don´t actually hold it in your hands?
That´s like buying a bottle of good wine and only looking at it because it´s so expensive.
In a perfect world, this would be a signature. As it stands, it's just the lack of.

Well, you can stare at it in it's sealed, perhaps colorful box and enjoy it for a while before you learn every little nuance of the package...

or

YOU CAN BUST THAT PUPPY OPEN AND EXPERIENCE THE AWESOME EXTREME TRANSFORMATION AGAIN AND AGAIN IN REA-TIME ACTION! TO THE MAX!

or something to that effect...

I personally open everything I get. Of course, I've never had a sealed G1 to see exactly how I'd react to it, but I imagine it would be a similar response, I'd just save the packaging.

It's your money you spend on TF's so do waht you will... leave sealed, open or stick 'em into your ass. What do we care? I personally would never buy a sealed one for collecting, so I do not have the dilemma.

As for others: It is not as if you were destroying some art treasure... it is a fricking TOY! Ment for playing, so to hell with the nerds who constantly blabber about opening a MISB.
