I was pasting some stuff into word and none of the words showed up! They were there you just couldn't see them. O_o

Yes, and after you've ascertained that performing weird occult rites with Clippy's twisted metal spine makes the text re-appear, be sure to pass on the advice with detailed instructions...

Word is just about bearable when you have WordWeb as a replacement thesaurus/dictionary... www.wordweb.co.uk

Maybe the Font color was set to white.

Och, I wasnae asking for a solution, I was askin' fer Clippy snuff-fic...

Yes, basically... if you're copying text from a webpage which is white on a dark background, chances are it'll be white in Word, and hence not immediately apparent.

I think Amnesia might be correct. The font color and background color could be the same... Other than that.. hmm, I'm sure it has about 100 patches out to fix problems.

I was pasting from a dark BG. Screwy pain-in-the-ass word. And that bastard Clippy ddn't help.

Does anyone know if there's a way to turn off RTF/HTML clipboard use in either Word or IE?

My solution is to replace Notepad with something that handles keyboard shortcuts, and use it as an interim buffer... www.liquidninja.com/metapad
