 Very nice. I'm not a fan of their using currently released molds, but If they're all as well-done as this one, the only thing standing in my way would be the price.

He sort of looks... Carmelicious. The tires remind me of those Werther's Original butter candies. Not that that's a bad thing.

It doesn't look bad, I guess. Doesn't feel very Rattrap-like, though.

The Cyber keys are painted as little golden discs.

Cool!

A botcon close enough for me to actually go and exclusives I may actually want... hmm... if I believed in astrology, I'd say the heavens are up to something...

Words can not express how much I hate these toys. LOL. This is Beast Wars for god's sake...not Cybertron Repaint Wars. That doesn't even remotely look like Rattrap. At least Primal looks somewhat like Primal--one that is running for US President. LOL

Actually, he's based on the original Crumplezone mold.

wow, would rather have straight up boring beastwars repaints?

I really like the newer takes on older figures. The slightly modified molds are always sweet too.

Wow. Complete turnaround from lasst year's offerings, and the mold looks 100% better as OP than it does as Crumplezone. If the other three are as good, they've got a sale. Uh, does anyone know if the figures come with the convention comic if you don't attend the convention?

EDIT: Damn, if I knew they'd look this good, I'd have signed up for membership in order to save some bills. Hrmmm . . . Maybe I can sign up now, and buy a set after the convention . . .

Because if the convention set is this good, then the membership becomes worth it.

they could of gone with a different boby for primal. crumplezone with a primal head just looks freaky. but the colors they use for rattrap are great.

These ones are nicer, although they don't do the toy interaction gimmick...

I dunno. Crumplezone's ape-like proportions make it a very good fit for Scrape Ape. The dual cannons, while a lot bigger, also remind me of the ones that he had in bot mode.

I think they're going to stick with vehicle alt-modes because they're supposed to be the forms that they had before the Beast Wars. From what I hear, they are doing the original crew of the axalon and Dinobot (who was a pred at the time).

My Guesses...

OP-Crumple Zone (duh)

Rattrap- ransack (duh)

Cheetor- Override (man, that would be sweet)

Rhinox- Either Red Alert or Landmine

Dinobot- Mudflap (he is a traitor aswell, and I just want to see a repaint of him)

I love the concepts here. Both molds work perfect for their respective character. There was even talk on the different kitbashing/repaint boards I visit about how much Ransack's toy would work as Rattrap, and I completely agree. Unfortunately, I think he'd work better in his Transmetal colors than the first-year ones.

Man these Look Great. Much Better then Last years. im really glad i got my TFCC memebership now. but, One thing About Rhinox i think he was supposed to be a Tank or something like that. becuase i remember reading when they where talking about the comic that they was going to go with the set that they where gonna be called different names and Rhinox's was something like Tankox or something but then the writers decided to use the old names. anyone else remember what im talking about?

I'd rather have new molds--but yeah yeah, I know it ain't gonna happen.

Now if were dark yellow with spots, I could let it pass.

I guess I'm just not sure what all of the fuss is about convention exclusives. They just tend to be molds that have been repainted a hundred times, and generally not even the good molds.

That being said, I did like the big one they did last year...blanking on the name, but how many hundred repaints did we honestly need of the Arcee mold? And at that price point?

If the exclusives were more in line with store prices, I wouldn't be so fussed, but if you're going to charge premium prices, I'd rather have a premium--or new--mold.

Despite my devil may care attitude regarding the toys, I am slightly jubilant that my dream of IDW doing a comic based between G1 & Beast Wars is going to happen, apparently. Now if only we could get a monthly comic on this time period and a cartoon (made by the people that did Beast Wars), I'd be overjoyed.
