IDW's Beast Wars comic...
Any word on whether it's going to be basically the aborted Dreamwave comic on a different label? What promotion I've seen says yes, what with the same "sideways from the TV show" cast and basic plotline... But has there been any word on whether it'll actually be the same series? And will it fit in with the Summer Special story?

Well that makes about as much sense as... well, it's late and I really can't be bothered to think of an analogy, so I'll leave that upto the reader's creative ability... presuming they have one.
The basic plot of the planned DW series was "this is what happens after they left." Saying "I think it'll be the same, but set before they left" is, well... as I said, I can't be arsed to think of anything that really conveys how idiotic that sounds, but rest assured that if I could, I'd be typing it here!
Oh, sod it.
"Here's a great idea for a series - we'll remake M*A*S*H - exactly as it originally was. But it'll be set in America. In peace time. And they'll be in a bar instead of a hospital. With Woody Harrelson."

Isn't this a four issue series? In which case at least two issues of DW stuff has been junked...

Can't see any reason it wouldn't. If you don't have a local comic store, try:

Don't let me picking out the Grimlock quote influence you; I think the focus will still be on the regular cast and new toy-only characters.

I don't think making G1 Grimlock into BW Grimlock is a good idea.
Hopefully he gained some intellegence during the past 300 years.

1) Doesn't matter - BW Grimlock has always been the original one.
BM T-Wrecks is also the same character.
2) Grimlock was only ever an idiot in the G1 cartoon, which Furman didn't write. Ergo there's no reason for him to be stupid in this.

I don't find him stupid because of his bad languistic skills.
Let me explain,
I have every ep of G1 on DVD, but I've read only a few TF comic's, and the one's I have read had little to no Grimlock. In the cartoon he was pretty stupid by the 3rd season. I only have Cartoon Grimlock to look at when someone mentions Grimlock. I don't know about the comics. He could have been fairly intellegent, but I'm just going by my own experience and what I've seen.

Grimlock is Furman's favorite charecter, so I think we can trust him to write him well.
I've just got issue zero of the G1 comic in my hands, I was only going to get the one covewr, but four for £2.80 was to much to resist...
