Prowl on the wrong team?

Post by rodimus0110 »

according to autoblog.com Bumblebee is set to be a camaro concept car, on the same site was images of a decepticon Police car. Someone please correct me if I am wrong but weren/t all the emergency vehicles Autobots? They cant make Prowl a baddy. Thats just wrong

Not news.

*moves to movie forum*

*realizes he can't, waits for Nevermore*

And the Decepticon police car isn't going to be Prowl, by the way. It's some other completely new character.

Barricade, iirc.

If I were evil, I'd probably disguise myself as the police, too.

An awful lot of evil people wouldn't need the disguise, they'd allready have their own uniform and warrent card...

Alledgedly.

You pro-movie folk don't list good taste as a requisite for your camp...

We don't, however, experience premature ejaculation.

We also aren't condemning the film a year before it's out...

Or even explicitly stating that it will be good.

No, we are though. By doing anything other than issuing a fatwah, we're saying this movie is the Best Thing Ever, will be totally without faults, and is so good we should hire temporal assassins to remove all traces of previous Transformers so Bay and Murphy get the credit they deserve.

I love the way fanboys think anyone who doesn't agree with them is diametrically opposed on all points...

It's like that with politics and religion a lot of the time, too.

Actually, people that act that way about larger issues could probably be qualified as fanboys as well.

Nevermind!

I am all up 4 the idea of new characters, but you can't use anothe Police car, Prowl was a legend and prob one of the best autobots in g1. You can't create a 'new' character if it is essentially an old one

What, Prowl was such a great character, and yet was entirely defined by turning into a police car? Because that's all the similarity they have.

Correct me if I'm wrong, because my memory tends to wander after eight or nine years in the fandom, but Prowl was a "good" guy -- so how the hell is a Decepticon that turns into a cop car "essentially the same as Prowl"?

...and, pre-Earthforce at least, what was Prowl's character again? What's that you say? Exactly the same as most of the other Autobots?

Did you complain on the introduction of Siren?

How about Stakeout?

Except for the fact that -- and this is important -- it isn't.

To say that Barricade is essentially the same as Prowl based solely on a shared alt mode premise is to say that Jetfire and Starscream are the same character.

Yes, it is.
