Update from Don Murphy

Post by Nevermore »

Is it just me, or has his wording and spelling improved a lot? Let's hope that's part of the "new and improved" Don Murphy we were promised a few months ago.

Wow, thanks Don!

Actually, a lot of great ideas on the movie concept. I like the idea of not just making an "animated" movie..

Suits him well. He seems almost like a modest human being. ;)

Now, seriously - I don't think this experience goes by without any long-term effect on Don either. He's getting directly in touch with his audience and gets a first-hand impresion on how people think about this movie (and others too).

I just hope it won't all go downhill once the movie comes out, and someone is disappointed.

Maybe some other people should try a little modesty, hmm?

We tried this week to have a “Secret Forum” where a few Stooges who had earned special trust could present ideas directly. It didn’t work- the board software is not capable of handling it. TV and Alphatrion busted the back doors wide open, the bastiches.
Does he want a hand setting up a secure private forum? It's easy enough with vB, though not very intuitive. Sounds like a subforum was made invisible rather than giving specific people access to it.

1) Add forum.
2) Make default behaviour for main usergroup that they can't read or post to it.
3) Set the access mask for anyone you want allowed in, on a per-user basis.

We all would try that but to be honest, lets face the fact that not many of us will ever meet face to face and that gives some people all of the encouragement that they need to be as self-important as possible because they feel insignificant everywhere else.

Now, with me some will hate me others will like my comments. I don't care how popular I am. I try to be mindfull of everyones feelings but I will occasionaly failing and oh well...

Also Don has never come across to me as anything but A good guy. Who else put up with the egos we all project myself included.
