I wonder if they actually paid Warner Brothers for that pic, or if they just cut it out of the TV Times in those more carefree copyright days. The next convention question for Furman there...

I also wonder if old Shocker still likes to hang round Blackpool?

Those five beams of fire...

Hmm....

Grimlock
Snarl
Sludge
Swoop
Slag

That would be five.

QUESTIONNER: Did you ask anyone if you could use that picture from V in #22?
FURMAN: Well, Bob did make some erm, unusual stories (laughter from audience)...
WILDMAN: You can say that again!
FURMAN: I think Infiltration is the first proper Transformers comic I've really done. IDW are certainly the best company I've ever worked for.
WILDMAN: I love you.
FURMAN: Say my name, bitch!

So, you've been to a lot of conventions then?

I've read five or six Furmanwildman (sic) panel transcripts, and their complete identicality (it's a word!) made me realise it was never going to be worth seeing the Dynamic Duo in action. I can probably find a club where aging men fondle each other for considerably less, should the need ever transpire. And I wouldn't have to put up with Furman's Stalinist approach to history either ("I never actually like Dreamwave, i was working to bring them down from the inside!" and then a quick trip over to Andy with his charming "If my art doesn't rock, it's because I wasn't paid enough!" twattery).

Ah, but what you don't realise is that whilst they talk they juggle geese! Now that is worth seeing.

Sixshot's an interesting choice. Good to see Nightbeat in there. Wonder if the Magnus we'll see will be more like the likably flawed UK G1 character, rather than the tedious movie-based version everyone seems to have been writing lately.

Hopefully it will be a Magnus more in line with the TFUK version of the character. Looking forward to seeing M D Bright's Nightbeat issue as well.

Art by Andrew Wildman (although Ryall pointed out that it wasn’t completely sure that Wildman would be able to do it)
Yeh, I suppose it could clash with all Andy's other commitments, like Simon's Laundry, Simon's Washing-Up, Simon's Shopping, etc, etc. and so on.

Unless Ryall's doubting Wildman's talents, which would be funny. Maybe Andy's mentioned his innovative "If you don't offer me enough, I'll still do the comic but really **** it up" pay demands.

[EDIT]
The Transformers: Generations reprints of old Marvel issues was the next topic, with Ryall explaining that some issues can’t be reprinted due to Marvel characters appearing in them.
Like, two do, don't they? And it'd only take a paste edit if they objected to the Savage Land... Aside from that we're talking the Death's Head stuff, which wouldn't fit into the Generations catchment area because some of it's quite good...

Reprints of Japanese Transformers comics? “There are some steps before that happens,” says Ryall, who contended that he was indeed interested.

I'm worried that the most interesting thing in the article is the potential reprinting of old Japanese comics rather than the new stuff they've announced.

What idiot though the BW comic was set entirely in space?
