Function: The little mermaid gone awry?

I like the traditional take on Transformers. Cars, jets, tanks, straightforward stuff. But every once in a while, something turns up that's so bonkers that it generates an interest in the bizarre. While for the most part, that's the realm of Takara (transforming shoes? really?), occasionally the western markets get an oddball release that appeals to the sense of weird and wonder.

The Beast Hunters version of Megatron is one such anomaly. While other Prime toys got remolded with extra spikes and whatnot to appear more beastly, Megatron has taken on a fish theme.
