YES. YES PLS.
So in about a year, there will be giant robots fighting.
You know, it used to be the peace (in my part of the world) and advances in women's health that made me happy to have been born in the age/place I was, and now... well, it's still that, but now THERE'S ALSO THISamongotherthings.

I loved Robot Wars (well, robo-combat TV, not Robot Wars specifically). Can't remember which version we watched (pretty sure there was an American version... Battle Bots? there were a couple iirc), but dood. I was crazy about that show.
I want this to be amazing, the child in me wants CRAZYGIANTROBOTCOMBAT but my grown-up cynicism is saying it's probably going to be like watching two cranes trying to knock each other over.

I support this idea. If anything will jumpstart the development of proper giant fighting robots, it's a regular competition.Hound wrote:This needs to be an annual thing that other countries eventually get involved in. It's the start of G Gundam.
And G Gundam was such a ridiculous concept that we need to get moving on it immediately.
They've made their Kickstarter goal for upgrades and will be making a documentary of the upgrade process.
