Exclusive Transformers Generation One Issue #1 Covers

Post by Windrazor »

For comic collectors out there, there appears to be several available exclusive covers for issue #1 in Dreamwaves' Transformers Generation One series. In store are the available covers with Bruitcus holding Jazz, and Optimus facing off with Starcream, with Piranocon, Menasor, and Bruticus fighting Ultra Magnus, Kup, Ironhide, Jazz, Bumblebee, and Prowl, and Megatron lurking over Cybertron. The available Exclusive covers are available at the Transformerscon convention on March 12-14, 2004 showing The dinobots attacking for an admission fee of about $35. At Dynamic Forces showing Brawn, Wheeljack, and Ratchet for $6.99 or $14.99 depending on if you get the gold foil cover, plus shipping. Also at Silver Snail you can pick up their exclusive cover for $9.99 CDN plus $8.50 CDN shipping, which would come to $13.80 USD.

Was that really worth typing out?

I got a number one with a cover featuring sunstorm floating about in the middle, cost me $12 instead of the usual $8 so i'll assume it's fancy but not overly rare.

So, how many covers vol. 3 #1 has now? Is the record set by vol. 2 #1 broken?

I could find a picture of the Superion vs Devastator issue, but I'll try to find it another day.. As far as the Sunstorm Incentive cover, I've never heard of it, but I know that Sunstorm is seen posing with Starscream against Jetfire in the 3rd issue. Also, there is a Dynamic Forces Cover with Gold lettering sort of how the Graham Crackers Transformers comics were done up.

Also, don't forget to stop by Walmart. They have an exclusive Transformers Energon issue #1 available for $4.77. I'm not sure if this is an exclusive to the United States only, such as the Beast Wars tapes were only available at Canada Walmarts. Here is the picture of the cover.

i can understand the legs lookin a bit funny, but leave soundwaves chest alone in the picture. YOU try having two rectangles for a chest and see how YOU deal with it

The drawing as a whole just looks completely wrong, as is the standard for Pat Lee's art. How he got to be a preofessional artist I'll never understand.

What I meant about his chest was that it was too small and narrow.

i just stick to the main covers. paying out around £30-£40 for the alternative/incentive covers in the UK to me is a bit much for a comic. Could get an armada unicron/mp prime each month for those prices and make a reasonable profit from selling them.

btw has anybody seen the transformers universe comic ?

i got issue 1 from reed comics and it has a good story to it.
starts off from where beast machines ended and shows how g1 sideswipe & sunstreaker were changed into their universe forms. also shows a short battle between g1 smokescreen and armada smokescreen (armada smokscreen wins).

its released quarterly i think and was origonaly available at conventions or something but it has been decided that it be distributed on a wider scale

http://www.reedcomics.com/

go into comics and look for the transformers icon.

The universe comic is priced at £5.95/$9.82. shipping is not included in the price
