Post by ravimus prime »

do you think a new cartoon will be made following the events in the movie? if so do you think it will be all crappy like armada or CGI like beast wars?

It's a possibility, i wouldnt mind seeing such a thing as long as they did a good job of it. however they're more likely to focus on merchandise and sequels before that happens

If you mean the live action movie it might depend on how much money it makes.

Although IIRC there were RUMORS awhile back about Hasbro asking Gonzo (the company doing Galaxy
Force/Cybertron series) about doing a post TF:TLAM cartoon show.

If you mean the 1986 animated movie they did that already as
Transformers season 3. :p

Yeh, because Generation "City of Steel-A Prime Problem-Carnage in C-Minor-Roll with It-The Search for Alpha Trion-Make Tracks-Child's Play-Face of the Nijika-The Burden Hardest to Bear-The Girl Who Loved Powerglide-TransEurope Express-Key to Vector Sigma-Quest for Survival-The Secret of Omega Supreme-The Nightmare Planet-Surprise Party-Call of the Primitives-Megatron's Masterplan-Aerial Assault-B.O.T.-Triple Takeover-The Big Broadcast of 2006-Chaos" One was such an unimpeachable masterpiece.

Never mind that "G1 style" is so utterly meaningless a phrase either. What, Ladybird book style? Zone manga style? Earthforce style? Fanwank eHobby style?

If they do a G1-style show, or a possible G1 remake, I believe that 'Mainframe Entertainment' (BW) should be approched for the animation.

Because Mainframe made one of the best, if not the best animated Transformers series to date.

That was because of the writing. Energon (imo) looked fantastic (from what I saw), but that doesn't make it good.

The writing team and the animation studio are seperate, afaik.

Although I didn't watch all of Energon, I found the flow of hand-drawn mixed in with CGI anime a little hard to swallow.
Same with Cybertron. In BW, it was entirely CGI (Which looked fantastic) and they only donated 3-7 seconds on a characters transformation, unlike the 30-60 seconds we see now.

Somewhere on the internet there's got to be an image of a road sign with "Point", a direction and a distance on it...

If they Hasbro does decide to do one following the new movie, I just hope that it is produced by an American/canadian company. Personally I cant stand most of the Japanise produced shows.

Agreed!

...

Wait a moment...

You were sarcastic again! Doh! ;)

Anyway, if I were a rich football player, I'd buy the rights - like that guy who bought the rights for one of the Avalon Hill games (can't find a link at the moment) - and produce an Optimus centered show with Peter Cullen as voice actor again.

That animation is kinda weak to, in my opinion.

With the way technology is going, it wouldn't be hard at all for them to make a live action show. Power Rangers and a few other shows, and most SCI-FI channel movies use CGI characters combined with live action. Witht he new movie being live action, I think that would be a good way to go.
