Knew about this one coming.. just hope that they remold the head on it. I would love to see it with RID Magnus's visage rather than a white helmed Prime head.

Kinda wish we could see the head on that. Honestly, that minor of a change would do oodles for repaints in the line, and wouldn't take all that much to do. Cliffjumper as a red Bumblebee with new head would make lots of people happy.

I suppose the puts to bed the idea that Classics is 'two waves only', at least.

It's still only two waves' worth of new molds.

I guess, in retrospect, RID got the best Ultra Magnus to date simply because it was a different mould all together than Prime.

Classics slowly loses it's appeal. I only want Bumblebee at the moment.
Few stuff in the UK to trade/sell. Measly sales thread.

No fair, changing the rules in the middle of the game like that.

Bored with "white Prime = teh Magnus" now. It's getting towards "Megatron repaint with no new mould = Galvatron"...

Or "Monotone Prime = N3M3SIS b@DaSSS d00d PRIME". Though, to be fair to Hasbro, at least they identify the vital target audience of nerds who'll buy anything black and evil.

Theoretically, with classics, can't they just keep banging out random redecos for a while, a la Robots in Disguise, though? If they choose their moulds sensibly, they can get a fair bit of mileage out of those even without becoming desperate.

Well, Thundercracker and Skywarp are pretty much a given. Ramjet is coming, which would easily allow for Thrust and Dirge. Cliffjumper is confirmed...

With the existing molds we've seen, most can be repainted once or twice and get new iconic characters. Tank Megs easily becomes Bludgeon. Hot Rod could be made to fill Silverstreak pretty easily.

Heck, you could bring in C Downshift to make Wheeljack and Downshift again, etc...

So there's plenty of mileage per mold to be had, with some creative effort. I'm just hoping to actually see that creative effort, though.

Everyone place their bets now for what colour scheme Space Choo-choo will have.

As one of the more expensive designs, I would bet that it would get repainted... but I'm at a loss as to who it could be if we're sticking to G1 for the actual figures.

If we're not (as per the Minicons), Rapid Run, Railracer, et al, would be viable. Of course, we also get a LOT more jet possibilities, etc...

*puts his life savings in*:p

I doubt it'll look better since I always prefered the non toon colors on the more "realistic" version of the toy.
The same way I prefer Diaclone Blitzwing actually.
Ah...forget it!

I'd say Blast Off, but just with a bonus mode... considering some of the "changes" it's no more of a stretch than, say, Hot Rod having the added feature of articulation. Though that said they have vigorously maintained Megatron as looking like crap, so who knows?

With the middling looki-likely-ness of most of the stuff, they can get umpteen redecos of any car or jet moulds, should they so desire, and I suppose they always have the option or roping in moulds from other lines under the banner (say, G1 X-Brawn, or Armada Blurr as Sunstreaker, that sort of thing).

Dammit, though, they should get on with doing some Classics Micromasters... I can think of a dozen off the top of my head...

Well, they can get two recolours out of it before even raising the question of other characters...

Three if they go with the plain Japanese design... hey, they could call him Spay-C!

Alright, I'll go, but I'll knock your mail off the desk on my way out.

"Nice box of Crunchy Nut you've got here. Pretty expensive as I recall..."

Plain Japanese? Y'mean the white one? 's where I got the "two recolours" from. One standard + Two recolours = Three total?

No?

I was thinking "US toy" and "Pointless E-Hobby SEND TEH MONEY" versions myself.

C'mon, Spay-C. They probably have the trademark and everything. They've been using Gobot names since 1985, and it'd get a cheap laugh (though probably not a purchase) out of me, if no-one else...

OR OR OR Spay-C-Loco. No?

EDIT: Bollocks, I make that something like 6-0 on aggregate to the English language. Do I get away goals for playing in Canada? Yeh, somehow interpreted that as "two versions" instead of "two recolours". Probably due to stupidity or something.
