It's a fun little satellite, but the giant, unarticulated gun-arm several hamperss it down. Seeing as there probably won't be a Classics Shockwave (that we know of) go for it.

Feh. Shockers isn't much of a toy, to be honest. Like Maju said, the huge gun arm really takes away from what you can do with the guy. It's not even the lack of articulation that's the biggest problem...the cannon's so long that it touches the ground if he tries to stand at attention in robot mode, and almost as big around as his hips. It's always in the way and gives him constant balance issues. The other arm isn't much better either, with a strange claw-hand, a funny, uh, shieldish thing, and poorly-placed joints.

The torso and legs do fit the character nicely (as Denyer's link illustrates), but unless you've got the skills and motivation to modify him, he's not good for much other than standing behind a group of smaller Decepticons and looking intimidating. :\

It's okay, not great not terrible. The clunky gun does suck though.

Couple of reviews on the site, actually:

Yeah, what other people have said: giant unarticulated gun arm is the weakest part of the design, but that aside, he's a perfectly acceptable substitute for G1 Shockwave. He can fake a gun mode well enough.

The recolor is funky too, if you want something a little different.

I am a huge fan of his satellite mode. It gets a lot of unfair flak. If you haven't got a Shockwave lying around, he's the best available option.
