Matrix in G2
Matrix in G2
Simply, HOW???
It couldn't have survived Unicon's destruction, could it?
Did the Last Autobot rebuilt it?
Or is this the biggest RetCon ever?
Sigh...it makes about as much sense as Fangry being there after Grimlock put a fist through his torso in US#80. (Boo!)
Did Furman pick up selective amnesia between these series, or what?

That's what I think. I was hoping that there would have been some official explaination for it in one of the books.
Still, though, that doesn't tell us why all those 'Cons were rebuilt. I can see the last Autobot reviving Getaway, Hot Rod, et al, but why would he revive Fangry, or any of the other 'Cons that were killed during the fighting? Couldn't he tell the difference?

Matrices
Mark Stevenson (of TMUK) did a top little fanzine called 'Matrix' which recounts how Prime got a new Matrix in time for G2 from the acid wastes where the Underbase originated. Check out http://www.warwithoutend.com if you fancy ordering it, it's only 2 issues at 50p each.

Yup, these guys take hits in different ways than we do. A hole in the chest could cut off a mass of energon pumps and polyoptic pathways, which would in turn disable the Cybertronian. But he could very well survive.
Then is there any way to actually be assured that they die? Other than melting them, I mean?

Come to think of it,why would Bludgeon want to rebuild Fangry in the first place? Would you rebuild someone who swore at, attacked, ate, or ripped up anyone who even looked at him the wrong way? A rebellious loudmouth who hates all of his superiors is hardly a prime candidate for resurection. Then again, neither was Starscream. The only difference between the two is that Fangry could actually be a threat to his leaders!

Aim for their heads... the heads...!
In the comics, even the headmasters seemed pretty helpless without their heads... No "transfer your programming down into your bodies..."

totally destroy their head
Look at the second-last page of US issue 80. In the bottom-left frame, you see Bludgeon, Stranglehold, and two other cons runnin away. The one closest to the Autobots seems to be without a head. If not, he's doing a pretty good imitation.
