Odd things seen in the background

Post by Garrason »

Me and a couple of frinds were watching TF:TM for about the 100000 time and we stoped watching the main story and started to watch the stuff in the background a few we cought were:

During the battle in Autobot city there is a sean where Preceptor is shown shooting if you look behind him you can see Wrec-Gar

When Unicron is transforming you can see his battries go in. one has a + the other has a --

the last one is when Spike is about to take an asid bath the two bots who went in befor him were the leaders of the go-bot cartoon (so i was told i never saw that show so i cant say)

Has any one else seen stuff like this and where was it?

well, the TF series is always full of errors, but strangely i never notice it as a 10 year old but now could point out a thousand mistakes as a 24 yrs old adult.
sometimes you really wonder did the producers check their stuffs before releasing...

I wasn't talking about mistakes there are a ton of those

I was looking for stuff like the batteries for Unicron or dumping the main charters from the other bot show in acid

the cute stuff you don't get as a kid but it makes sense now

I think the 'acid bath' bit is incorrect, 'cause I don't remember any Gobots looking like those... the batteries thing is quite interesting... the only other 'easter egg' I can think of right now is Sludge's "manga" eyes when he gets walloped by Devastator...

Swoop is right (also he should be with the rest of the Dinobots in Prime's shuttle), but the other one is definitely Grapple.
Or maybe it's Hauler? The two of them are so hard to distinguish... :p

Hound's so hard to notice in the Movie, really.

And I don't know why Hound shouldn't be in th Movie, either.

And bet you didn't know that Hound was also putting the sign with Kup before the whole fight. :)

I read a good theory once regarding the Autobot cars and such i.e. why we see Hound stepping off Prime's Autobot shuttle, it was this:

The Autobot's beat the Decepticon's up so much that eventually the Decep's fled Earth and made their way back to Cybertron. The Autobots on Cybertron got a pummelling because of this, and that was why people like Magnus, Hot Rod, Arcee and the others fled to Earth.

Optimus realised he had to do something to help contain the Decepticon menace on his home planet, and split his Earth force in two; one to stay behing and guard/oversee the construction of Autobot city, and the other to retain hold of Cybertron's moons.

In a perverse bout of decision making, Prime chose the Earth loving Autobots to be sent to the moons, in this case Hound, Jazz etc. He also split the brothers Sideswipe and Sunstreaker and split Snarl from the rest of the Dinobots (which is why you don't see Snarl in the movie apart from on Earth).

The reasoning? Sideswipe and Sunstreaker were a fighting force and he wanted to develop them as individuals, especially if one of them should die in battle, the other should be able to carry on without falling apart.

Jazz and Hound needed to regain the Cybertronian roots, and Snarl benefitted most from Earth's sunlight, his power would increase ten-fold because of the solar panels on his back. Cybertron has no sun, so he simply wouldn't have been as effective up there.

The proof? There's a TF:TM storyboard script of scenes that weren't included in the final version where Sideswipe is clearly still on earth when the Decep's attack Autobot city, whereas we definitely see Sunstreaker step off Prime's shuttle alongside Hound.

The one millisecond glimpse of Snarl touching down on the planet of Junk alonside his Dinobot brethren and Hot Rod and Kup was an illusion done with mirrors.

CG2's "The Last Days of Huffer" cleans up the Hound thing nicely... Grapple's certainly in the Perceptor-in-the-trenches-scene, never spotted Wreck-Gar, but checking would involve watching TF:TM again, so I can't be bothered. An interesting fact - in every frame there's a tiny little picture of the Omnibot Downshift, cunningly hidden in the background art.

If hound is helping kup (which i cant c on the film), then how come he is with prime when they get of the shuttle??

and as 4 the grapple or wreck gar things??? where on hell could they b next to the orange metal on the left, or the orange metal or the right?????????

i can only c one autobot behind percepter and im not sure who that is, but if u pause it when the autobot runs past the sreen, it looks likes swoops legs??? (as said before) very strange indeed
