Next Takara Re-issues

Post by Zath »

Action Figure Express reports that Optimus Prime and Sideswipe are the next figures to be released in Japan as Takara Reissues. No other sources have this up for sale or to confirm it, but verification should trickle out very soon from other stores or Takara's website!

I wonder how big the box for Prime will be.

Not Sideswipe, though, surely?

Oh, and the BBTS Newsletter just confirmed it. Along with the Act 9 SCFs (Armada) and Mega SCFs of Armada Prime and Megs. w00+?

Wasn't there a New Year Sideswipe [only notable change, as far as I could see, was different art on the instructions]...?

Fair comment. I'd forgotten.

Weren't they both in the Euro Classics range as well?

Yup... I think Jung's site says something about Optimus being as possible, but I had a Classic Op... I doubt a shelf full of high-demand 1984 toys would suddenly turn up in Toys R Us in 1991... Oh, and G2... though that doesn't count, as both had mould mods.

To be honest, though, I don't think NY Sideswipe was much more than another run of the earlier double pack...
