Very, very nice. These not-so-bright colours fit very well on these molds. Too bad these are store exclusives. :(

Well, Armorhide looks good, and Elita One finally gets a toy after 20 years...

But, I dunno, the first two waves at Target aren't really moving at all. And since two of these are repaints of existing Target exclusives from the first wave... Seems like an odd set to me.

You know, that's always kind of bugged me... is there a reason they're doing that? It's not like mentioning Ebay by name is a legal liability or anything.

And, more mercifully, a canonised spelling...

I only don't explicitly name auction sites when the topic is images of a stolen test shot, as I don't want to advertize auctions for stolen stuff. As long as it's about dealing with legal items, mentioning eBay is fine for me.

The only proper response to that, Cliffy, would be 'Deathsaurus'.. DeathRUS.. etc... Though, to be thankful, BotCon settled THAT at least.

It more has to do with the fact that a lot of prototype/testshot/whateveryoucallthems have been leaked onto theifbay over the past few years, and Hasbro has discouraged fans from buying these items because they do not receive any compensation from the sale of these items, most of which have been smuggled out of the factories that manufacture the toys. In other words, these items are to be considered stolen property.

Basically, it's Nevermore's way of citing the source of the photos, without blatantly pointing out where these items can be found. People used to just post links to the auctions in news threads, but that practice has since been discouraged, and any links are quickly edited out of posts, in order to show cooperation with Hasbro's wishes.

EDIT: Nevermore beat me to it.

It's Deszaras. I don't care what a convention toy is called, the big duck thing off of Victory is called Deszaras.

A better example would have been Minelba or Carb... ;)

I kinda understand that, but, honestly, seems that it would make more sense just to keep killing any links.. but no worries.

And it's Deathsaurus. Sorry. :) A lot of people still citing 'Deszarus' ARE the guys still citing 'Minelba' and 'Carb', etc... heh.

Ah, the fan one from a couple of years back? (Was that ever finished? They seem to have dropped off the planet...)

Until now, of course, the only official Elita One toy was the Takara sanctioned model kit with the name 'Elita One' on it. Of course, relying on Takara for proper spelling, etc, of names is an exercise in masochistic futility.

Sorry, but you're wrong in this case.

Botcon toy is Deathsaurus.

Big chicken thing in Victory is Deszaras.

Technically, Hasbro are mostly indifferent to stolen test shots. Aaron Archer once claimed he likes fan sites reporting them so he could track down the source of the leaks. We're not one of those holier-than-thou sites who claim to act in Hasbro's best interest and censor any mention of the mere word "prototype". It's just been my personal policy that I don't want to support people profiting from stolen property, regardless of whether Hasbro actually cares or not. Hence, I report images of leaked test shots without directly pimping the auctions in question.

In some cases, it's a matter of discretion, since it's a pretty bad mangling of 'Engrish', but when official material from Takara references the 'lizard of death' when referring to Deathsaurus, then well...
