How appropriate, Blitzwing is fashioned like a cartoonish Nazi! Complete with stormtrooper helmet and monocle.

Interesting, defenetly interesting.

what's up with the long faces?

The most shadowy figure looks like it could have been taken out of the movie wile the other ones look alot more traditional.

What is that gun thingy under the monocle guy?

For some reason they remind me of the Bionic Six baddies, does anyone else get that vibe? esp Glove starscream, I mean look at his bio on this page!

I'm actually starting to get into these designs.

Starscream looks...interesting. Not sure about the jaw, but other than that....

Blitzwing looks awesome.

Who's the short stocky one in front of who I assume is Megatron?

Speaking of Megatron...he looks an awful lot like move Megatron, doesn't he?

Hard to tell from that, but I like what I see, particularly Monocle-Bot. Always up for something different. I imagine, judging from appearances alone, that one-eye guy will be a dim-witted brute, as that line-up of 'Cons seems to be surprisingly lacking in the thuggish dumb-ass department (As I said, that assumption is only based on the character designs).

I always thought of Blitzwing as falling underthat category...although he certainly looks more maniacle and menacing than he does thuggish and brutal, doesn't he?

Heh...oops. Sometimes my left hand types faster than my right. It's odd. :-)

At the Botcon panel, Blitzwing is supposed to have a Man-E-Faces type gimmick. So the Nazi face may just be one of them.

The short one I'm betting is Lugnut who's a big, purple plane but I thought he was supposed to be bigger than Bulkhead.

Still not getting used to the animation, but I suppose when I watch the actual toon I will get used to it. Here's hoping for 2008.

the chins remind me of Jay Leno, long and robust. I like the designs overall, very interesting, and I am assuming the tiny female looking one is Blackarachnia?

Yes, the tiny, female-looking one is Blackarachnia.

I think these look very cool to be honest, I'm just not sure how they will translate into toys.

Now... Starscream and Megatron are kinda obvious, and so is Blackarachnia after her name is mentioned...but how do you guys know for sure who these characters are? Has there been some sort of press release saying the character names that I missed?

The series looks very interesting, but I'll with hold my opinions until I see the first episode. I think Starscream and Bumblebee look the coolest.

At Botcon, they showed character sketches for the cast. Also, in that SDCC toy thread of Nevermore's, you can pair up who's who with the figures.
