Sin City

Went and saw it opening night. Kick ass movie and probably the best movie I've seen since Kill Bill Vol. 2. Good performances by nearly everyone involved.

JAWS vs. Chucky
This could be great: Chucky is a stowaway on some kids' boat and he tries to kill them. They jump overboard and JAWS eats them before Chucky can get 'em. Chucky swears "smile you son of a bitch" and dives into the water for one final showdown

I just got back from seeing it, and I thought it was really good, as well.

Probably one of my favorite movies.

I'm probly going to see it next week after I see Sahara, which I've been anticipating for a long time now. This thing does look far too good to pass up, though. No question.

Go see this movie or you'll be sorry!

Saw it last night. Gotta tell ya, I haven't enjoyed watching a movie like that in a really long time.

My favorite actor in that movie, hands down was Mickey Rourke. He was one bad ass hard core mother f*cker! The last scene of his story was classic! You know what I mean if you've seen it.

I'm gonna go see it again, it was that great!

I am going to see it during the weekday so I'll have less people to worry about. Seems like a good movie to own on DVD too. Can't wait.

Awesome movie. About 10-12 minutes too long for its own good, but a great film nonetheless. If nothing else, a noteworthy departure from the norm.

I absolutely loved it. 4 out of 4 stars. I practically wrote a book about it on my blog, which I won't repost here, but if you're interested, click here.

So many good things to say. Mickey Rourke is my new god now. Talk about being perfectly cast...

Saw it last night, was quite fun. This coming from someone who's never read the 'graphic novels'.

I might pick them up now though, if I can find.

Your best bet is Amazon. They have them for 25% off. As most comic dealers never run sales on their books. I also had a feeling you would enjoy a Japanese ninja girl on roller skates.;)

eBay's good if you wait for movie fuss to die down, though...

Will likely watch it when it gets to DVD (a friend is a massive fan of the original material) but not really a gangster movie fan meself.

Read your review just now after seeing the movie and I assumed the delivery for Madsen's lines (as well as a lot of Owen's and some of the prostitutes') were intentional given the pulp origins of the stories. Since so much is over the top, I figured they tried to slip in some lines that were like that too.

Willis' brain-surgery line was the best in the whole movie.

Yeah, killer film. Never even heard of the books before I went to see it, but it was still a good lot of fun. They did a great job of making it feel like a comic book: brutality too excessive to feel real, intentionally starchy dialogue, shots that felt like still frames, silhouetted skyline backgrounds, and plenty of snappy narration one-liners. I'm not much of a movie guy, but that's one I'd think about seeing again.

Saw it last night. Oh my god, that was good. Practically every shot was just absolutely beautiful. And (I never thought I'd say this, but...) Elijah Wood was incredibly creepy as Kevin.

After watching both trailers over and over again, I finally got the chance to see it. Loved it. :)

I'd like to think that the delivery of Madsen's lines was intentional, since his character is pretty much a stereotype, but it just didn't jive with me. A couple of the other people I saw it with brought this up after the movie as well, so it wasn't just me. Clive Owen's felt like he was dealing with the American accent more than anything...
