The Next War Within Series: The Age Of Wrath (SPOILERS)
From Wildfur.net, the official Furman/Wildman website.
The third volume of the bestselling Transformers: War Within (the defining series set on Cybertron before the Transformers came to Earth) begins this September. The Age of Wrath features the return of arch-tyrant Megatron, along with Transformers: The Movie villains The Quintessons. Characters slated to make their War Within debut include Ultra Magnus, Blaster, Perceptor, Nightbeat and the Turbomasters (making their first appearance in comic book form). Art for the six-issue series is by Joe Ng (Transformers: Energon) and the first issue ships with three covers (standard wraparound, alt. version by Don Figueroa and retailer incentive by Pat Lee).
I really hate the fact that they're bringing Megs and Prime back without explanation (at least as far as I can tell). And I really feel that the Ultimate Guide particularly spoiled some plot elements of this series. (Megs' teamup with the Quints is specifically mentioned in the timeline featured in that book.)
Still, I'm looking foward to this series.

Yay! more WW comics!
Kind of hope they ease prime/megs back into things, not just have them "appear" from the start with little -> no explaination.. But if the story is on par with Dark Ages, then I'll be a happy camper who'll be buying all 6 issues Oh... and More trypticon I say! More More More!!!
ergh...... I just realised something... Quints = possible wheelie appearance :/

Yeah, Raiz really should been handed this project. Aside from Figueroa, he's the only one at DW who consistently offers great work.
Ng, as shown in his Energon stint, has severe storytelling troubles. It's not as bad as Pat Lee, but seriously, look at Energon 23. Do you want that guy doing War Within?

Jeez, am I the only one who likes Ng's artwork?

I was looking forward to James Raiz´s art.
Otherwise, I´m willing to see if Furman can make a twist with quintessons that I haven´t read already in fanfics.

I noticed Skorponoks missing leg the first time I read Ng's debut on Energon, but flicking through it again recently I was amazed I didn't spot the fact his other leg seems to be missing as bit, as is his entire left arm (though he might be waving madly at his legs flying off). He should have been saying "How am I going to read my digital watch now?":wall:
As for Wildman, at both conventions I've seen him he's given the impression that Transformers was... Iwas going to say beneath him but thats not quite right...errr... That Transformers was very much a thing in his past, while he's more intrested in new challenges. I think this showed in the Dark Ages and niether he or Dreamwave are probably desperate to work together again>

A lot of people keep mentioning that, and he`s not missing any parts, they`re just covered by the rocks he`s standing on, the same goes for Tidal Wave`s leg on that same page, it`s just that most seem to be tricked by the perspective, and the fact that the edge of the rocks was not properly inked, which makes it look like it`s part of the rocks behind them rather than a separate set of rocks below them.
