Two years isn't that unreasonable a gap really, especially as they'll have lots of stuff they didn't use from early drafts of the first one for budget/time reasons...

Well, Brend gets a couple of years off from modding anyway. Unless he loses it and just starts banning the wankers crying over the DVD sleeves...
I didn't think Brend had banning capabilities ... even in the movie forum
Two years seems about right for any sequel these days really. That seems to be par for course for things like Harry Potter anyways. Unless they are shooting them back to back with no break, and using the same sets ala LOTR..then I'd say two years is really fast to be honest. I hope at least a year goes into script this time

are you talking to me? (DeNiro)
if this is in reference to my music recommendation, I challenge
you to fisticuffs.
If anything, I was commenting on the peace and tranquility I
achieve though that particular song in contrast to the inner conflict
I feel when thinking about the next GoBot film.
maybe it was a cry for help.

Well, in the vauge effort of topicality:
The main factor in when the sequel comes out I would say will be the schedule of the returning human characters- Obviously the main two are the only likely "Must haves" but with Shia looking like the next big thing at the moment his diary is likely to be very full for a while.

I would expect he'd have some sort of prioritising clause in the multi-picture deal he signed - options would have kicked in as soon as the second film was greenlighted, and Shia etc. will probably have been informed to keep 2008 (or whatever) relatively empty - once he has a production date, he'd probably book other stuff around it.

Oh sure, but I'd assume it would still have to come after anything he was already signed up for before the option kicked in- unless paramount were to want to either force him to drop it/buy him out but that would stand a chance of pissing of the lead actor when they could just wait a few months. It's entirely possible for a big name actor like he is becoming to be completely booked up through 2008 for a while.
Errr, is Megan Fox doing anything else at all?
