Post by AWF Press Office »

Note: OOC only. Each and every "in character" post within this thread will be removed.

World, the time has come, so don't hold back - this is your chance to show everybody how clever you are by second guessing the bookers and predicting the winners for our annual February pay-per-view event, which comes to you this Sunday.

The person with the best success rate wins a special signed "BIG Ragebowski" pen!*

So, without further waffle...

AWF Championship:
TC (c) vs. Amarant Odinson

Fatal Fourway for the Number One Contendership
The Lock vs. Morpheus vs. Viewfind vs. Sixswitch

Intercontinental Championship
"The Game" Erik Summers (c) vs. Divebomb

StoneCold Skywarp vs. The HeartBrend Kid

Y3B Blaster vs. Christopher Back

JUST ADDED

Ravage v Tempest

Redstreak v OP2005

* - This is a lie

NB: There are more matches to be officially announced, which may be added to this topic later in the week.

Now go! Speculate freely on the results and ramifications... try and get a clean sweep... ramble about how well you think matches haven't been built and get banned for annoying the bookers... predict where you think angles will go in the run-up to ArchiveMania.

So type out that reply, because it's time to push the (reply) button.

TC Vs Amarant

Winner: TC
Comment: A title shot is a well deserved reward for Amarant's services to the AWF, but I don't think he's ready to take the step up to AWF Champ just yet. One to watch for the future though.

Lock Vs Morpheus Vs Viewfind Vs Sixswitch

Winner: Morpheus
Comment: If I keep picking Morpheus, I'm bound to get it right eventually. Anyway, I see interference here, either from Murder Inc, or from HBK, or both. I think the other three competitors will be mighty annoyed at the Lock for his faction's hijinks (I love that word) at Mayhem, so I don't think he'll win. If it happens how I expect, HBK will take Sixswitch out, leaving either Morpheus or Viewfind to win it.

The Game Vs Divebomb.

Winner: Divebomb
Comment: Divebomb's ready for a significant run as a singles wrestler, and a win over the Game is just the way to prove it. Plus the Game's held the belt for ages already.

Serial Slackerz Vs Murder Inc

Winners: Murder Inc
Comment: I don't see Murder Inc coming away with nothing from the night, and since Lock isn't going to win the main event, this is the one they'll win.

LZ Vs Scarecrow

Winner: Scarecrow
Comment: Expect interference from Wolfang.

CloudStrifer Vs Wolfang

Winner: CloudStrifer
Comment: Expect interference from LZ.

Skywarp Vs HBK
Winner: Skywarp via DQ

Comment: HBK's not in the best frame of mind going into this one, and Skywarp is determined. I expect a chairshot or five from HBK to end this one.

Xille Vs Vin Ghostal
Winner: Xille

Comment: About time Xille got one up on Vinny G.

Y3B Vs Chris Back

Winner: Y3B
Comment: Y3B is just too strong, no matter how much money Back might try to bring to the table.

So let's see how many I get right, eh?

You wanted it out of character well here it is OUT OF CHARACTER:

AWF Championship:
TC (c) vs. Amarant Odinson

Winner: TC
While I'm hoping for Armarant so that the mistake made at Eos can corrected. But truth is TC is gonna win just like Triple H or Jeff Jarrett does until at least AM4.

Fatal Fourway for the Number One Contendership
The Lock vs. Morpheus vs. Viewfind vs. Sixswitch

Winner: The Lock to help put over Murder Inc and help them to become the domintant faction in AWF at this time.

Intercontinental Championship
"The Game" Erik Summers (c) vs. Divebomb

Winner: The Game
Simply put is their any other possiable outcome to this match?

Tag Team Championship
The Serial Slackaz (c) vs. The Wild One & Auros

Winner: The Serial Slackaz.

The AWF Tag Team division is very weak and this seems to be all
the AWF staff can think of is throwing 2 guys together and having
them try out as a team.
D-Exreme and Igz seem to be the only two guys on the roster who cares about the tag team titles anymore so until a better team comes along...

Hardcore Title
Zarak (c) vs. Scarecrow

Winner: Zarak

TV Title
CloudStrifer (c) vs. Wolfang

Winner: CloudStrifer

StoneCold Skywarp vs. The HeartBrend Kid

Winner: HBK
Does SCSW even post here anymore?

Xille vs. Vin Ghostal

Winner: Xille

Y3B Blaster vs. Christopher Back

Winner: Y3B Blaster

Because the AWF staff just doesn't know what to with my character other than to have him lose badly. And since they've made it perfectly clear to me that my ideas or suggestion are not welcome (although they did surprise me with using a joke I sent to them about my character attempting to destroy the AWF Championship title belt at EoS)

But still even I don't see anything else in my character's future other than losing to Y3B and putting him over yet AGAIN!!

Pretty much an average card in my opinion.

Edit: If anyone complains that I've bitching or telling the writers what to do here's all I got to say to them: You wanted my predictions and I gave them to you and if you don't like my reasons, opinions or answers then don't ask the question.

Last I checked, you were begging us for a chance to move up and get some quality feuds. Now, we give you one with a legit main event face in the company and you complain about that too. We've presented you with angles and opportunities then you come up with some random idea that would make you the owner of the fed. Let me make this clear: you are a wrestler here...you will never own the company...you will never be the general manager here...if you want a push there is only one way to get it...quality posting and hardwork, not random weird ideas. Look at guys like Baxter, Scarecrow, Judge Death and Wild One...these are just 4 new guys off the top of my head that have a bright future here because they work on their characters and make interesting developments. They work with the feuds we give them and they present us with good ideas for future feuds.

AWF Championship:
TC (c) vs. Amarant Odinson
TC needs a sucessful title defense on a PPV to help cement his character's place as a legit champ. And against a quality opponent such as Aramant, its a lock.
Pick: TC

Fatal Fourway for the Number One Contendership
The Lock vs. Morpheus vs. Viewfind vs. Sixswitch
Murder Inc.'s postition with the fed has been a welcome addition. However there are too many others in this match who are out to get the Lock and he has no backup...so we're going with.....
Pick: Sixswitch

Intercontinental Championship
"The Game" Erik Summers (c) vs. Divebomb
The Game's been the IC champ for a while, maybe its time to have him drop the strap. Naaa.
Pick: Game

Tag Team Championship
The Serial Slackaz (c) vs. The Wild One & Auros
As much as I like the Serial Slackaz, the Murder Inc. boys are on fire.

Pick:The Wild One & Auros

Hardcore Title
Zarak (c) vs. Scarecrow
Zarak! Where are you buddy? Don't make me pick the Sweep!
Pick:Scarecrow

TV Title
CloudStrifer (c) vs. Wolfang
Cloudstrifer's promos are entertaining, and noone's beaten him for a while. But Wolfgang can cut some classic ones too.

Pick: Wolfgang.

StoneCold Skywarp vs. The HeartBrend Kid
The Fight of the century!
Pick: HBK

Xille vs. Vin Ghostal
This ones going to be a knockdown drag out fight.
I'm going with....
Pick: Vinny G

Y3B Blaster vs. Christopher Back
No one and I mean no one cuts a promo like Y3B.

Pick:Y3B

Whew...at least I didn't have to pick against myself again.

AWF Championship:
TC (c) vs. Amarant Odinson

My pick: Thundercracker
Reason: Amarant, has gone to bigger and better heights since I last got a match with the guy. But, I think his championship reign is too soon. Maybe somewhere after Archivemania, AO will be the next AWF Champ.

Fatal Fourway for the Number One Contendership
The Lock vs. Morpheus vs. Viewfind vs. Sixswitch

Pick: Lock
Reason: With the events of Warzone, The Lock has the advantage going on against View and Morpheus. Sixswitch seems to be the ONLY threat for Lock as I expect Morpheus and Viewfind to go at it at the start and ignore the other two.

Intercontinental Championship
"The Game" Erik Summers (c) vs. Divebomb

Pick: Divebomb
Reason: He is going places, a win over one of the biggest names in the AWF would cement his reputation this year as a rising star.

Tag Team Championship
The Serial Slackaz (c) vs. The Wild One & Auros

my pick: .......
Reason: As much as I like to pick myself or murder inc.(for wild one's improving smack talks) uhm...I think its gonna be a tough night for both teams

Hardcore Title
Zarak (c) vs. Scarecrow

pick: Zarak
reason: Scarecrow is in a stage where he is just new and is still learning. Its gonna be a tough fight but in the end, the more experienced Zarak would get the win

TV Title
CloudStrifer (c) vs. Wolfang

pick: Cloud
reason: That belt is stuck up his ass like an acne thats stuck on mine :( ....but in a GOOD WAY ok?

StoneCold Skywarp vs. The HeartBrend Kid

pick: HBK
Reason: I have a soft spot for drunks, but HBK gets this one.

Xille vs. Vin Ghostal

pick: Xille
reason: FINALLY...this is the chance for the underdog to win.

Y3B Blaster vs. Christopher Back

pick: Y3B
reason: this looks to be a VERY descent feud that was built up last show. But hey its Y3B......I am always sensing he is gonna win this somehow. Unless of course, atty comes down the ring again ;)

AWF Championship
TC vs. Amarant

TC will come out on top, but with interesting ramifications for the looming AM.

Fatal Fourway

I root for Sixswitch. Almost always.

Intercontinental Championship

I half figured G91 would lose the IC title at AM, but he'll be fighting HBK there apparently, so I'm glad DBomb will be the new IC Champ. He deserves it.

Tag Team Championship

The Slackaz find themselves in quite the same position as last time: Two on one. I figure a tag team should have two active people, but we shall see. I think this'll be an inconclusive bout so as to lead up to a multiple team match at the AM.

Hardcore Title

Zarak - so he and Wolfie can have a crazy ass match at AM, 'cause the split up of Blood 'n Thunder deserves as much.

TV Title

Cloud, but only so Wolfie can fight Zarak at AM.

SCSW vs. HBK

I'm tempted to follow Silly Cow logic and say SCSW has one extra letter than HBK, so he'll win but HBK will probably get a push so he can have heat for the G91/HBK match at AM.

X vs. V3

Tie. Gotta be to go on to AM.

Blaster vs. Back

He just doesn't get it.. poor cybie. Y3B.

Alright, I have refrained from doing this for a day but finally I have succumb to this fun filled thread. So these are my not my predictions really, just what I want to see happen. But I will put a prediction down anyways and remember these thoughts, even though they may seem like they are IC comments, they aren't. Well maybe a little. ;)

TC v. Amarant

Thoughts: Well heres how I see it. TC is the champ, me and TC don't see eye to eye on anything. So I would like to see him lose, just so I can laugh at him. And as for Amarant, well he's been bouncing around a lot lately and it would be nice to see him finally grab hold and take charge.

The one that should win: Amarant
My prediction: TC, for the same reason Baxter put down.

AWF Title #1 Contenders match

Thoughts: Well theres four good fighters in this match so it could go to anyone. But I am partial to one man in the match because he's the one that showed me the ropes here in the AWF. So, for former loyalties sake.....

The one that should win: Viewfind
My prediction: Viewfind

IC Title Match

Thoughts: Well come on, lets be serious for a second and just realise that I am not going to say I am going to lose so....

The one that should win: Divebomb
My prediction: Divebomb

Tag Team Championship

Thoughts: Ah a match that is very near and dear to my heart, because as we all know I am one half of the only three time AWF Tag Team Champions. So The Slackaz, one of the best teams to grace the AWF lately, they have great chemistry and are some of the funniest guys in the AWF. Then there's Murder Inc., a new faction that comes in just in time to still smell the smoke of the GPA wreck.

The ones that should win: The Serial Slackaz
My prediction: Murder Inc.

Hardcore Title

Thoughts: Well, you've got some rookie scum that is hanging around with Strike and then you have a guy that I have aquired alot of respect, for over the years. And you have to remember that respect is a double edged sword.

The one that should win: Zarak, because I gained that respect for him.
My prediction: Scarcrow, because B&T were arch rivals of the NWA.

TV Title

Thoughts: Cloud and Wolfang. One that has been a thorn in my side for along time and the other that has been a thorn in my side. I have respect for Wolfang just like Zarak, but Cloud has been on a roll since winning the TV title and has defended it very well.

The one that should win: Wolfang, for the same reason as the hardcore title match
My prediction: Cloud, for the same reason as the hardcore match

SCSW v. HBK

Thoughts: Going to be one hell of a match.

The one that should win: Who cares, going to be one hell of a match.
My prediction: See above.

X v. V3

Thoughts: The AWF's resident pest and the man that the entire GPA got sick of, also the man that bashed his golden bat into the side of my head.

The one that should win: Neither, hope they beat the living hell out of eachother.
My prediction: See above.

Blaster v. Back

Thoughts: Do I really have to predict this one.

The one that should win: I refuse to say either of them should win.
My prediction: But sorry Back but I have to go with Blaster on this one.

And thats is, I got no more for you, so go read something else.

Ravage Vs Tempest

Winner: Ravage
Comment: Tempest has enjoyed moderate success post GPA, but this feud's about to kick off big style. I don't expect a conclusive win. Might be via DQ or something, but this feud's set to continue.

Redstreak Vs OP2005

Winner: OP2005
Comment: A big win over Redstreak will be a nice reward for Op's work in the fed so far.

HOW COME I DONT GET ONE :( unfair.....*cries in the corner*

Anyways

Ravage vs Tempest
My pick: Ravage
Reason: One sign that your on a decline is either you get the hell beaten outta you by a guy in a barney suit or wearing a thong.

Op2005 vs Redstreak
My Pick: Redstreak
Reason: The Highlander from hell has impressed me lately. So, I think he will try to make an upset. But in the end, I think Red's experience is gonna get the best outta OP

Oh yeah, I forgot about those two. So here it goes again.

Big Daddy Rav v. The human bulldozer

Thoughts: The GPA grunts. The two giants that share one brain.

The one that should win: Neither, knock eachother senseless.
My prediction: Ravage

Redstreak v. OP

Thoughts: Red is trying to make a comeback and OP deserves a win.

The one that should win: OP
My prediction: Redstreak

Plain and simple.

Trying to rebuild my foothold here... been gone too long.
AWF Championship:
TC (c) vs. Amarant Odinson
I like Amarant. I really do. But, like many have driven into the ground, his reign is coming, but it's not here yet. Soon, AO. Soon.
Fatal Fourway for the Number One Contendership
The Lock vs. Morpheus vs. Viewfind vs. Sixswitch
I'd be happy with any of these guys winning, but if I had to pick, I'd say Morpheus. I want to say Sixswitch so bad, but I just can't bring myself to do it.
Intercontinental Championship
"The Game" Erik Summers (c) vs. Divebomb
Divebomb. So I can take it later. ;)
Tag Team Championship
The Serial Slackaz (c) vs. The Wild One & Auros
I like the Slackaz. They took what they were given and they ran with it... well, they rented a golf cart and maxed that baby out, at least. I think Murder, Inc. will have its time with the belts, but it's not going to start here.
Hardcore Title
Zarak (c) vs. Scarecrow
You know, I won the Hardcore title off of TC at the last Redemption. Does that mean Scarecrow will win tonight? No, it doesn't. Wolfie might interfere, but the proverbial crap will hit the fan when...
TV Title
CloudStrifer (c) vs. Wolfang
Wolfang wins the TV Title. Now, this could either be caused by a Zarak screw-up on the interference, or it could be a post-win beatdown, I dunno. I'd just like to see a title unification match at Archivemania III... Zarak vs Wolfang for the new title. I don't know, I just don't think the gimmicks on either one of those belts are really working for them anymore, and we could possibly build a new undercard belt that has a little more prestige to it (and it might also force some more people to either step up to Intercontinental status or just accept that their feuds probably won't be for a title).
StoneCold Skywarp vs. The HeartBrend Kid
I like HBK. Therefore, I am picking HBK.
Xille vs. Vin Ghostal
No comment.
Y3B Blaster vs. Christopher Back
I'd really like to see C-Back win this.
Ravage v Tempest
Oh geez. No comment again.
Redstreak v OP2005
OP, for all the reasons listed above.

AWF Championship:
TC (c) vs. Amarant Odinson

It's a great matchup...TC's Rumble performance was oustanding, and as much as Amarant annoys me, he's a good technical wrestler. I can't give him the time of day in this one, though. TC in a wash.

Fatal Fourway for the Number One Contendership
The Lock vs. Morpheus vs. Viewfind vs. Sixswitch

Hell of a match. Looks real good on paper. Six!

Intercontinental Championship
"The Game" Erik Summers (c) vs. Divebomb

Summers is a borderline short-bus student. Go Dive!

Tag Team Championship
The Serial Slackaz (c) vs. The Wild One & Auros

The Slackaz are great!

Hardcore Title
Zarak (c) vs. Scarecrow

Come on, Scarecrow!

TV Title
CloudStrifer (c) vs. Wolfang

I'd love to see Cloud hold onto his championship. Tough title defense for him, however. I'll go with Wolf.

StoneCold Skywarp vs. The HeartBrend Kid

Sky, I hope I hope I hope.

Xille vs. Vin Ghostal

Can't say.

Y3B Blaster vs. Christopher Back

Back's an idiot and a whiner, and this coming from someone who's pushed segments for him left and right. Can everyone be involved in an angle with the owner/commissioner? Nooooo. Blaster by a mile.

Ravage v Tempest

Too close to call.

Redstreak v OP2005

Red's real hot after his return at the Rumble. I'll go with him, even though I'm a big Doc Op fan.
