You know the ones, nothing's awe-inspiringly good, but everything's a minor victory of some sort.
  • I think I got me a photography set-up that works
  • I picked up a dirt-cheap Voltron DVD covered in pictures of Lion Voltron just because it was 50p, and it turned out to have Vehicle Voltron eps on, which is a good thing.
  • I got Sar a book for a £1
  • I got Vice City for the PC for a pound too
  • I found the complete Fawlty Towers DVD set for £4 (if anyone wants a caseless version of Series 2 [UK Region - 2, is it?] for price of postage, drop me a PM)
  • Some Shogun Warriors comics turned up in the post
  • I found a newsagents in town that does softpack cigarettes
  • I finally found time for a cup of tea and catch-up chat with my best mate Erica
  • I helped rescue some ducklings
  • I helped a girl get her pushchair on the bus without cocking it up
I mean, nothing sensational, my trawl of the charity shops didn't yield a stack of MISB Godaikins, I didn't win the lottery or get propositioned by Luciana, but just a nice little day :)

Oh that sort of thing can be so bad. You go from old-timey, kickass gentleman to "What the hell is that freak doing to that poor woman's pram?"

When I was in Florida, some ducks were crossing the road. I stopped and watched them to make sure they made it across, but I wonder if it occurred to them that they can fly over the speeding cars... silly ducks.

Pushchair? Is that the UK word for wheelchair? Don't believe I've heard it before.

I wouldn't help a cripple, they're just paying for crimes in a previous life.

Joking, joking.

Strangely enough I had one of those too-nothing earth-shattering,oscar winning or cup final injury time winning gaolscoring but everything just happened to fall into place.
Because i did a Duty-manager shift on Sunday(which involved inventing some paperwork and hiding in the office with the heating up and football on the radio) I got to start (slightly)late giving me a lie in and finish significantly early at the day job.
The Nr mint G1 Sandstorm I won on Ebay arrives just before I leave for work.
Because we got paid yesterday(always a bonus) it was dress down day which meant I got to wear my "Dont Hassle the Hoff" T-shirt which got positive reviews from staff and customers alike.
While at work find out my order is spot on-not too much stock leading to reductions and waste and not too little leading to empty spaces and angry customers and got it all merchandised before leaving.
Finishing early meant I got to spend some time with my 3 month old boy which is good as you cant get this time back before leaving for work again as Fridays usually mean get home, bite to eat,get changed,go out to gig.
Had an 11 year old Birthday party tonight and had downloaded High School Musical 1+2 and the new NOW cd (69) just in case.
Got to gig and its supposed to be from 7 til 11 and the girls mum asks me "Would you mind finishing at 10 instead" Gee let me think...finish an hour early for the same money-ok I suppose so.
So the gig is great and the kids arent brats with the Cds I did hitting the spot(I love it when a plan comes together) and the time flys in and I pocket £50($100) for 3 hours work.
Phone a taxi and it appears in 2 minutes instead of the usual 15-20 and get home to lots of cold Cola in the fridge and a litre of Vodka which Im making an impact on as I type.
My phone goes and Im invited to a night out tomorrow which should be bangin'
In the words of Ice Cube "today I didnt even have to use my AK,today was a good day"

(made it the PG version just to be on the safe side)
Yeah today rocked!!!
Loss of job. Will sell for food here.

Yesterday was a nice day, I drank half a bottle of wine, got laid and watched The Incredible Hulk pilot on DVD (Official verdict: A man painted green with a fright wig on his head is a more convincing special effect than CGI giant poodles). Obviously I did only two of those at the same time, guess which...

Today I'm hopefully going to find time for the last Ashes to Ashes and this weeks Torchwood, have some lunch with my Mother, and then have a few beers latter on, so it should be good if all goes according to plan.

I love the Hulk when he was in the Ultimates. Screw psychological studies of the beast within the man, we want a horny, psychotic bastard with a mad-on for Freddie Prinze Jr.
