So..... if they could do a new head mold to Breakdown, why couldn't they give one to Pyro?

I can't understand any appeal to these. Tie-dye never really worked for clothes. It doesn't work on Transformers either.

I actually love the colours on breakdown. Its a good mold and with these colors, i could just get this, megatron tank, hero optimus prime and the cyber jets and my g2 collection would be complete. the colors really just cover the g2 cars.
Let this be thy final lesson monster, no man is e'er defeated till his last breath is drawn! And e'en THEN, 'tis most unwise for the victor to assume the battle is ended, for with god and man, a war is ne'er over till the ultimate wrong is set aright and the final villain is DONE!

Brochure today confirms Streetwise and Sky-Byte, with no colors or molds mentioned for either. (G2 Streetwise was Black with red interior parts. Sky-Byte was blue and yellow...)

Sky Byte?

Um, was there a Sky Byte in G2? I know about Breakdown, Streetwise, Pyro and Clench, but Sky Byte? I only remember the RiD guy...

The backstory is that he -is- the RiD guy, come through dimensions in search of a 'plot device' material.

I MUST HAVE CLENCH

Especially if he's Universe Onslaught with a new head.
No longer looking for RID Dreadwind, but I still need Smokejumper. I'm also in need of Mammoth Nemesis Prime's tail piece, as my figure lacks it. Send me a PM.

While that's probably likely, I would both be impressed and amused heavily if it would up being Bendy Armada Prime. Far more appropriate toy, and really holds well as a 'Classics/G2' figure.

But it's probably going to be Onslaught/Hardhead.

Onslaught's proportions are much closer to the original toy's.

Plus it wouldn't make sense for a Deluxe Decepticon leader to go up against a Voyager.

Only reason Earth Megatron being a Leader in Animated made sense was because he was bigger than Prime by a large margin. :P

yeah, onslaughthead is about the only thing that could work for clench, though even that's a stretch. unless they use something out of cybertron again. or go down the recoloured prime route again, black with neon green windows *weeps*

was just marvelling at the costs involved for setting up a stall, and the hoops one would have to jump through.

also, the fact hat the non-attendee package is almost as much as the attendee one. between average cost of flights, hotel, food, etc, you're looking at knocking up $1000, aren't you? jeez. can't wait for it to come back to northeast again. although to be honest, looking at past locations, my bets are on somewhere central/south for next year, somewhere between new orleans and texas.

That's... not stupidly bad, actually. Utterly pointless, but not terrible.

Other bits of news...

Clench was shown as a Tankor repaint... as a joke. It was soon replaced on the BotCon page with a drawing of Pyro with Clench. Clench is a redeco of Onslaught, as expected, with a new head.

Does it annoy anyone else that they're advertising this as a G2 theme when so far they don't have a single G2-original character in the set? Streetwise and Breakdown are obviously G1, Pyro/Spark and Clench were both released first as G1 toys before being reissued as G2, and Sky-Byte is from RiD. So far there's not a single character in the lineup who actually originated in G2. Would it have killed them to throw in Leadfoot or Dirtbag or Motormouth or Hooligan?

Ooo, looks like Punch/Counterpunch comes with ultra-G1-authentic crookedly applied rubsigns!
