What do u think is better?.....Armada, Beast Wars or Generation 1

Post by Brentamus Prime »

Hi guys i am just wondering in your opinion what is better...Transformers Genertaion 1, Beat Wars or the new Transformers Armada and why do u think this.

In my opinion i thinki Generation 1 rules..... it had the original Optimus Prime the Autobot leader and the Decepticon leader Megatron....it also included one of the best movies i have ever seen (Transformers the movie)....overall Transformers Generation 1 RuLeS :D :) ;)   :smokin:

I'm going to say the original comic because it didn't have to rely too much on OP and Megs to tell a story. Also, Shockwave had a backbone, and Grimlock seemed to be intelligent. Next would be Beast Wars, then Armada, then RID, then the original cartoon.

Beast wars - characters with actual characterization, leader who make mistakes and bad guys that win every once and a while.

That and it has legitimate violance. I fire 400 laser bolts at the enemy and I can't hit them - that bothers me

Beast Wars.

Crafted characters that develop over time, a continued plot that runs from episode to episode, plus fantastically articulated toys. What more can I ask for?

Plus, I see we negotiated the "should it go in the G1, BW or Armada forum?" issue by sticking it in RiD. Anybody got any preference for where I move it to?

I didnt watch much Beast Wars till after it had gone off the air cause I still was ticked at the idea of CGI & animal alt modes .....it just seemed sooo wrong at the time and i wouldnt accept it no matter what.

Now after downloading episodes and watching many (maybe 1/4 of the series) I personally think it was was the most thought provoking easily of all and like the dark factor to of the series.

Most bash Beast Machines on here but I liked it alot and have watched all the episodes, and i like how it was done very much.

R.I.D. was corny and not nowhere near what BW was with storyline, but I was estatic to see that series cause it kinda brought back alot of nostalgia of the G1 feel and brought back many TF fans to the table..... well like me

Armada.... better than RID ....but not up there with BW but towards the end of the series it got sooo much better to where I was very excited bout the series (just why couldnt they have done that for the entire line from the start) ....it was like 2 sets of writers wrote it.

Pesonally I just wished they would make a series with the G1 comic story or beter yet War Within..... War Within would be so marketable and would make a kick@ss show.

Bruticus-Kaos: check out seasons 2 and 3 of Beast Wars, they have some truely great episodes (Code of hereo of course) and when they bring in G1, it really works well (sorry if I spoiled anything)

beast wars in cartoon form
it has the better more interesting story beter chararisation (or however the hel you spell it >_<)
legitimate violence with great stabs at teh orginel series
just the end was rushed
and hwy they turned primal ina ape is beyond me i always envisoned primal as a lion ro something

beast machines: seems many hate it and i am prolly one fo the few who like si tbut it has an ever better story witah dark atmosphere and what can i say ? i just like it

the orginal g1 cartoon especially season 3
season 1 and 2 are less but for nostalgic purposes its stil great

rid and armada are obviousley very child orentated and i like neither much

the orginal uk comic book series stil reigsn supreme though
(mostly because there is no beast wars comic)

im hoping for either a celshaded or gci animated tf show eithe rbased on the war within or g1 but hopefully with more mature stories like in beast wars
but thats most likley too much to hope for

I'm gonna have to say G1 comic/cartoon as well since it started the whole shabang. Then comes Beast Wars, then Beast Machines, then way down the list are the **** shows Armada and RiD.

Cartoon: Beast Machines - haven´t seen Beast Wars yet.
Comic: G1.

Armada: shoot the idiots who wrote it.
In a perfect world, this would be a signature. As it stands, it's just the lack of.

cartoon: beast machines definatly but beast wars is no slouch either (though it gets tedious at times)
bm is a notch higher but only slightly
and with beast wars i meant bm and bw as a whole actually

cant we shoot the writers of rid first ?

No, that´s too much - just slap their wrists, but hang the writers of Armada.

(Note: refering to cartoon only, of course)

i didnt really liked rid too much weird humor slapstick humor obviousley aimed at childeren and the shouting of transform and announcing their attacks just before they did attacked didnt improve much either
the predacons were absolute idiots and horribly out numberd ( funny that the autobots had so much trouble to defeat them )
it started to pick up when the decepticons were introduced but not much

Well, RiDs at least sometimes funny, and it does make sense mostly. Compared to Armada anyway.

(Well, compared to Armada ANYTHING is Shakespeare...)
