Its a nice repaint apart from the goldness.
Even though its very Superion I just don't like the big glob of gold.

I've got a Sixwing so I won't bother with this.

That was in March. :)

Funny how people forgot

- about the "Railbots" having been announced by Archer at OTFCC when the prots surfaced last year

- about the trains when the Aerialbot protos surfaced this March

- about the Aerialbot protos when the trains showed up in packaging a few months ago

And now, no-one remembers the Aerialbot protos anymore, and others have never heard of the Railbots in packaging. ;)

Sweeeeet. Ro-Tor is still an unfortunate name, and that is a touch too much gold, but it still looks spiffy. Hopefully Hasbro will keep rolling with the Micros.

Uhm... like what? The last regular Micromaster combiner is Sixliner, who's about 75% identical to Sixtrain. And Landcross is larger than your average Micromaster.

Perhaps some of the original micromaster molds survived. I'd really like to see those released. Kinda wish I knew what happened to mine. They were in my room, and when I moved into the basement, they vanished. :(

EDIT: Need to pick up some of the trainbots, and a Ro-tor

I'd love a Skyhopper reissue. Naturally, we'd likely see them from Takara first, but the fact the Hasbro's pursued the little guys this far would bode well for importing those at some far future date.

I'd also really appreciate it if Hasbro would import the Hot Rodimus Micro as a separate reissue, but I'd probably be the only one...

I really like the mold. Superion was always one of my favorites.

So...why did they call "Silverbolt" "Skydive" when they obviously still had the name rights to "Silverbolt" (since they used it for one of the other jets)?

Maybe because he wasn't originally Silverbolt, he was "Super Sonic". He definitely looks more like Silverbolt than Skydive though, and I think Falcon would have made a better Skydive than Silverbolt. I also think Flanker would have made a better Air Raid with the four fin tail. The rest don't bear as much resemblance to the originals anyway, but Fireflight would at least make a good name for a shuttle I think, so that would leave Slingshot for Missile Run. Don't care about the copter. Eh, but they got the colours so I guess that's all that matters. That's Hasbro's philosophy for homages. Why did they ditch Slingshot anyway? That's not another name they lost, is it?

My first transformer(s) was Superion, and I already got the Energon version for that sentiment, I'll probably get this one too.

If I nitpicked toy names, I would have ALOT less figures.

Interesting that they're not using Silverbolt's name this time around, since they do have rights to it still. I don't think they're saving that name up for anybody, are they - and would it really matter in this case?

Slingshot.. maybe the others just finally got sick of his pompous ass and hired out a Combatron instead. :)

But they did use Silverbolt's name. They used it on the guy that looks more like Skydive.

They fired Slingshot for Storm Jet, maybe because Storm Jet was in the Energon Superion team.

Gah, teaches me to look at this stuff when I'm tired.

Well, no complaints about Silverbolt's inclusion then (he can form any part, all the jets are swappable). Slingshot was replaced by Storm Jet, which is an odd choice - but they did a better job of keeping the team names and making sense of them than the other teams...

The only reason that I can think of for Silverbolt`s choice is because they didn`t want the leader as a mere leg, so they made him an arm instead.
Just like what they did with Hot Spot.
