These things rarely look right in live action films without some serious tweaking. Stupid, ignorant or not, my first reaction was: "He looks a bit like a Power Ranger, doesn't he?"
My knowledge of Joe stems from the various Transformers crossovers and an Action Force annual, so really I have no desire to see this film.

Why wouldn't a ninja carry a gun? It might not be his weapon of choice, but it increases the character's options a lot. Depending on how much things have changed, he's still a soldier. The character was designed as a commando - it was the comics that turned him into a ninja, especially post-TMNT. If he couldn't perform conventional roles as well as DOOD BADASS NINGER STUFF he'd be completely ****ing useless to a small unit like the Joes.Maju Garzett wrote:That's not what I meant, I meant why the hell does a Ninja need a gun?
EDIT: Moved to Comics/Cartoons.

I personally am loving the pictures there, theyre incredibly close to one of the designs for Snake Eyes (I only really know it from the Devils Due G I Joe comic)
I have a glimmer of hope for the film, mainly cos I actually liked the first Mummy film and these pictures have helped too.
And yes, a gun has always been a staple of the character, why exactly is it stupid for a ninja to have a gun?

Ray Park's an ugly bugger though. There's a reason all his roles involve masks and make up...
