That's NOT a review. That's an ass-kissing piece for Micheal Bay, and Micheal Bay alone.

Trailer doesn't have much new, but it's better assembled than the previous ones. Again, it drives the point that the Transformers are NOT characters in the movie - they're plot points.

Someone will have to confirm or deny this (as I have no idea where I saw this), but isn't the official release date and time now 8pm EST on the 2nd?

Seek and ye shall find. Damn Japanese opening isn't until the 4th of August. Makes no sense considering the Korean opening is June 28th, and it would require the same amount of preparation, regarding translation subtitling. Maybe it has something to do with creating a special campaign for Japan due to their isolated relationship with TF's, or even preparing a Japanese dub for cinema release (which would suck a Donkey's). Who knows? Considering a trip over the river 'cause I'm sure I'll know far too much by August 4th.

The casting of an good actor I've heard of in one of the supporting TF roles has kinda abated my fears on that, Ratchet at least should get some good stuff.

The opening night was shifted from 4th to 3rd because they couldn't stand the idea that we (Europeans, Asians) would see the movie few hours ahead of the Americans.

Nah, nothing really to do with that. The studio just wants a few more days around the holiday to get people into the 'big movie' before Harry Potter is expected to knock it out of the cinemas.

Which is true.
I laughed at that, cause all the movie itself commercials are now saying the third, but all their tie-in stuff, ie the mountain dew commercials, lunchables ( which I may or may not have seen, kinda been on about a three week bender) all still say the fourth.
so they pulled a coup on all their supporting merchandise.

that's funny to me.

After watching the movie last night, I agree with ALL the negatives of the three reviews posted in Ain't It Cool, specially about the plot ( but who cares ), Frenzy ( although the infiltration skills of this little guy are awesome ), Bay, John Turturro, the loads of minor human supporting characters and the fast action/ slow motion ( almost each sequence is too fast, and you will miss details! ).

Not sure if there are some spoilers in the following lines, just beware.

On the positives, well, there are good fights, loads of action, BB is very nice, Prime is Prime ( althought he jumps and leaps too much! Actually, each Autobot except BB leaps, rolls and jump a lot of times! ), Starscream is scanty but very impressive and when the Decepticons join, speaking in cybertronian, is really good... well, you'll see and judge for yourselves!
