I must be crazy.

Post by Civ »

You know, I saw this and I have to admit that I really wanted a Diaclone...errr...whatever Trailbreaker's number/name was during that time. Thought I was going to get really lucky and had a $46 bid in for the longest time. Luckily, I increased the amount because two jerks tried to snipe. So after taking two bullets, I finally got it for a little over $100. Hopefully, that's not bad for a loose Diaclone Blue Trailbreaker minus a laser and the forcefield projector thingie that goes on his head since I'm seeing MIB complete ones going for $300.

Impressive....most impressive.
Just buy any of the far more available(reissue)Hoists, keep the forcefield gizmo(its the same) and sell it for as much as you paid for it and voila free forcefield generator.
Loss of job. Will sell for food here.

What I can't believe is that someone actually offered him $25 for it.

Trailbreaker's a pretty cool figure. I got one with no accessories in a huge Lot, once. I ended up giving him one of the KO Inferno fists and a random chrome missile for the other hand. I think it was from the constructicons, but he's currently buried somewhere in my garage so checking's not exactly possible at the moment.

I wish I could say the same; however, I've seen this behavior before where people try to rip off/swindle sellers out of their goods. I've also seen the case, where people take it to the extremes and steal goods. This happened at Botcon '07 where someone stole a MIB G1 Swoop, MIB G1 Grimlock, and someone's custom Motormaster made out of Alternators Prime.

I don't think you're crazy at all. An original Trailbreaker is hard to come by nowadays. So, the price seems pretty reasonable. I still have mine downstairs on display. He's a little worn out, but he still looks good for being 24 years old. Trailbreaker was my very first TF I ever got. It was all downhill for my parents' bank account after that.

MAJIK. Get with the ****ing programme.

Nice buy, TBH - always wanted a few Car Robot myself, but the prices can be ludicrous. Didn't want to look for the yellow one, though? ;) I'm actually quite fond of the Trailbreaker toy, TBH, a bit less refined than some of the other cars, but still pretty good - if the joints are good you can get a couple of good poses out of the arms/shoulders (six points of articulation on a G1!).

Props to the seller for the open shaming of that shyster, as well. $25 would be a cheap price for a knocked-about loose TF Trailbreaker...

Along with a blue Bluestreak, they're next on the list.

Yes. Gonna have to put a positive feedback for the seller for doing that.
