e-Hobby strikes again: Ravage & Buzzsaw repaints = "Howlback" & "Garboil"

Post by Nevermore »

Since the Soundblaster reissue is coming with Jaguar (Ravage) and Buzzsaw, e-Hobby are going to sell the inevitable repaints: Howlback and Garboil.

Do these color schemes actually have any relevance at all?

On the bright side, it's a chance to pick up some separate cassettes at quite a reasonable price—and hopefully there'll be a box set of them later.

Aren't those the old Diaclone color schemes?

There is no such thing as a Diaclone cassette. These toys were originally released under the Microman line. Here is a blue version of Condor. Also Jaguar came in blue.

Sounds reasonable. Garboil would probably make more sense as Garble (as in the message was garbled), but I don't know the first thing about Japanese.

I actually was wondering about that.

Random colors or not, I like them. Always nice to have more cassettes, and at a reasonable price, too.

Garble looks a reasonable interpretation to me. Gaa-bo-i-ru. Garbul. Works fer me.

$20? Not likely. If buying direct, add on the commission that their international sales agency gets, plus shipping. If buying indirect, add on the intermediary's mark-up on top of that.

Of course, I hope I'm wrong on that score and it works out cheaper.

Each?!? Fergoff. for the pair? Fergoff anyway. Ugly, pointless things.

And this is better than Universe how? Because they're Japanese?

Looks like Howlback qualifies as the first Decepticon fembot produced in Japan.

Technically, no. BW Black Widow was also a "Destron". ;)

And then you'd have Giga from Masterforce...
