Geez, does Op (i think that one pic is Op anyway) have enough weapons in Stormbringer!? I hate to see if Megs was on the same page there with a bad bad look on his face....:D

which is strange because this is what the script called for

The energy beam retracts, Nightbeat (robot mode) now stood on the planet surface. This is where we upgrade/revise Nightbeat’s appearance, based on however you design his ‘local’ vehicular mode. He’s still a car, and he’s still recognizably Nightbeat, but there’s a more utilitarian look to his alt. mode (chunkier tyres, more robust, reinforced bodywork, like an all-terrain vehicle).

some reason i had something other than a station wagon pictured in my mind >____>

ah well
+points for goin with a different style of artist, -points for making nightbeat a station wagon x__X

Too bad he got redesigned...

The Porsche 959, which he originally was, is a 4x4, and a modified version of it won Paris-Dakar in 1985...

More than suitable, I'd imagine.

Another thing is that his robot mode bits and alt mode don't fit together anymore.

Are the artists doing any research whatsoever? :p ;)

He probably reformats anyway when he gets to Earth. ;)

"Stationwagon" + Porsche = Cayenne?...

Still, I'd think that the 959 is classic enough to be maintained.

Besides the art, the story looks interesting.

Stormbringer is off the HOOK. The Predacon designs are vicious. I can't wait to see Spotlight focus on Soundwave. Why aren't THESE people in charge of the bloody 2007 movie???

and possibly no one asked them for their help also. it always happens that way too. oh well, if the movie flops because people are disgusted with the character designs, we can just say in unison "we told you so Dreamworks". i am optimistic though, and i hope that this movie does a helluva better than Mission Impossible 3 flopper.

I think stormbringer is the best thing idw has done to date art work and story the spotlight is a good concept 2 but the art work is important and the nightbeat is bad but I will still buy it . its just that i love the dreamwave art and stories they set the bar to hight if dons art work wasnt in idw i dont know if i would have that much interest and i have been following the transformers since i was 6 i have every single transformer comic(except uk stuff) i just wanted to say how disaponted i am with escalation and infaltration these IDIOTS just dont understand its not transformers and humans, ITS TRANSFORMERS and the artwork dont get me started, idw say hes getting better i say he just does not have it, you guys know i am right. I will always buy transformer comics but i cant understand the beastwars stormbringer and spotlight thats what we want not that other crap.

hope that guy doesn't run away screaming, but I do like the spotlights, they have been pretty well done so far.

and that was quite an outburst, if my few months of scanning have taught me anything....
