masterpiece Skywarp looking rather fetching in the corner there, it's nice to see us getting him first rather than Thundercracker tbh.

re-issue Sky Lynx would be too good to resist seeing as I've never seen one in the flesh.

Well, I may be the only person in the world who'll say this but I always liked Sky Lynx's TV character and the toy looks fun if bizzare, so I'll probably buy.

I wonder what E-Hoby will go for the repaint?

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but Takara have displayed old stuff at toy shows before without reissuing them.

They dragged out a real Victory Saber set to show along side the Robot Masters versions without reissuing it, and they had a bunch of old stuff at a show last March as well.

Case in point: Star Saber, Liokaiser, and Browning on display to highlight... a Kiss Sparkabot.

Well, apparently this time, the plaque for Sky Lynx says something in the lines of "reissue project on the way". Besides, when was the last time they put toys that aren't even their own on display?

Ask Hot Rod if that's a good thing.

TBH, with how willing he was to give it away, he was probably happy enough to kiss him, when he didn't have to bear that responsability, anymore.

Good news:)
Sky Lynx(AFAIK) never got a release in the UK so he is very rare and hardly ever turns up on ebayuk(and is usually yellow with knackered electrics) and goes for silly money when he does.
I will definitely be snagging one of these Im hoping for a lot more re-issues in the near future.

And all this reissue Sky Lynx stuff happens within months of me scoring my own vintage boxed copy! Ah well, I guess my older brother can get one now if he wants (he couldn't be bothered hunting down one that is in good condition)

Stupid space turkey! I hate Sky Lynx.

Sadly my overwhelming dislike of the character has given way to my 'Great Britain Syndrome' when it comes to toys. In that this is one of those toys you only heard whispers about in the playground round our way, like Swoop for instance. So due to 80's starvation of decent toys I am forced to buy this now, but I guess that's the price you pay for living in the empire.

Hence I have a desperate urge to handle one in the flesh and examine his moving parts so I will probably buy one and inevitably succumb to 'English Optimism' and discard him with a crushing sense of anti-climax and disappointment.

Yes I want one, my childhood demands it.

Why so expensive?

Post by bilbo777 »

Can anyone give an idea of why this reissue is so much more expensive than other reissues or its jumping on the movie wagon pricing you till you scream? Saw it at BBTS for $90 preorder.

Anything near the $100 mark you'd think Masterpiece. New molds, complex transformation, metal and etc that adds to the cost. Smaller molds.. $30 for the encore. Larger ones $50. Is SkyLnyx extremely large?

Well he is a pretty big figure. Plus he's going to be imported from Japan and finally he does have a lot of electronic stuff going on in him so hence the price.

Isn't his box the same size as Omega Supreme or Trypticon?
