Optimus Prime: More Than Just Poked in the Eye

Post by Boeman »

Satirically placed in Sierra’s 1989 Space Quest III game, the head of the once illustrious leader of the Autobots now lies among the other strange artifacts in this space junk freighter.

I love references to old games. Did you move onto Space Quest 4?

I was a big Monkey Island fan back in 1991-2, along with Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (the graphic adventure), Operation Stealth, It Came from the Desert etc etc.

I could go on and on.... but you'd all be bored to tears.

Regards,
Windcharger

That's the head of Optimus Prime?!?

Welcome aboard, Boeman.

I played Space Quest 1, 2 and 3. That takes me way back though. Played Police Quest too. Not quite as fun. . .

That's what I was thinking. I'm not sure about you lot, but Prime's head was fairly blue last I checked.

Yeah, I don't see the resemblance either.
This does remind me of something else, though: Anyone with a Transformers Universe comic might be familiar with it, if they ever read the contents page, that is:
The bottom credit is for a guy named Irving Forbush.
His title, as per issue 1: Spare Part.
Issue 2: Less than meets the eye. (my fave Image )
Issue 3: Major Weakness
Issue 4: Has seen movie 63 times.

Check your TF universes, or if I ever get my scanner I'll put them up on a page. Image
