His memory is certainly better than that of numerous other "veterans". :)

Seibertron interview with TF box designer...

Post by Denyer »

...since Nevermore doesn't seem to have got back here yet. ;)

edit: Nope, he's posted it in Toys. Eh -- it's got a news component, and the guy is currently trying to get a design retrospective of 80s properties published.

The guy has a good memory. Interesting read.

A very nice little interview (and this guy seems to remember more than some of the peeps who wrote episodes of the cartoon). That Shockwave story was new to me- Prove he's been doing it right from the start.

Interesting read. Wouldn't mind seeing some of the original sketches.

It made me also wonder why no-one has published a book with character pictures from boxes/cards.

A bit too exaggerated for my taste, predacons especially. Really like the battle damaged(?) Spinister though. :)

Well, it had to be similar to the toys, to avoid the label of being deceptive advertising... I think those flares on Spinister are meant to be reflected light.

That PM Prime has allways been one of my favorite bits of TF art.

He just posted at Seibertron and TFW and put up some more original art:

Battle illustrations (Action Masters, Pretenders, Micromasters)

Artwork for Pencil and Paint By Number Sets

Also, see here for pics of the infamous original Shockwave prototype.
