Rust in peace

Post by Orion1 »

I saw a few episodes of the cartoon that took place after the movie, but haven't watched them in along time, could someone tell me if any of the following characters were brought back in the cartoon after the movie?

Ratchet
Ironhide
Prowl
Bumblebee
Any of the Dinobots.

Thanks:)

All of the Dinobots appeared after the movie in a few episodes. Bumblebee appeared rarely (I think), and in Return of Optimus Prime, was destroyed by a Hate Plage affected Superion, before being rebuilt as Goldbug (who also appeared in Rebirth).

The others did not, unless you count animation errors (in which case, Bumblebee appeared at the end of Rebirth too).

Actually Ironhide and Rachet both appear after the movie, in the episode Dark Awakening. But they are in their tombs in a mausoleum. So techinically they did appear :D

I meant appearances where the character was still alive jepc71. I see your point though, technically, they did make appearances. Just a shame they weren't brought back to life.

Well...we know their bodies will never be broughtback to life since the mausoleum was destoryed by the quints...so don't hold out to much hope...luckly though I don't think you see Wheeljacks tomb so there is still a chance for him :smokin:

But is the Japanese Victory Series the same continuity of the G1 series? Seriously...I don't know.

yes it is
but the japanese series disregard rebirth for their own take on it in headmasters
headmasters is followed by masterforce and master force by victory
and its the saem continuity as long as you are willing to disregard rebirth
and if you cut your self you wil think you are happy

I think that by the time Victory was aired in Japan, they still hadn't got TF:TM, so as far as they were concerned Wheeljack wasn't dead.

There isn't a huge problem with Wheeljacks ressurection as his tomb wasn't shown in Dark Awakening, so you just assume he was repaired after the movie. Yeah, I know Arcee looked preaty upset, but what does she know anyway?;)

Prowls appearence in Headmasters is a much bigger continuity headache as not only had he died in the movie, but his body was subsequently crashed into a sun...

Did Windchanger ever make it back then since he was right next to Wheeljack?

In "Four Warriors From The Sky", he's part of Ultra Magnus's Earth Force. In the Star TV dub his line was somthing like "We were lucky that time" in a strange voice that sounds like one of the three voice actors trying to disguise the normal tones they use... For all I know he might have been offering a detailed explanation ofr his survival in the Japanese version.
