What's on your desk

Post by martyboy70 »

Pretty self explanatory but what TF or other Action figure/Collectible toys/merch do you have on or around the desk/table/unit/whatever your PC/Mac/Monitor is on.(Pics if poss)
(never used so many /s in one sentence before)
I'll start:
WST Prowl,Red Alert,Sideswipe,Starscream and Jusitoys Grimlock and Slag
Beatmix Bumblebee
KO Devastator with a couple of genuine Hasbro Constructicons
Keychain Movie OP and Legends Blackout.
G1 Smokescreen,Stepper,Sunstreaker and Bluestreak on the printer.
G1 Hoist towing Ironhide with Mirage tagging along on the monitor
As i said I'll kick it off this is where I type my nonsense from(TFT coming soon but where do I put Hoist etc then)

oh and just noticed Ramjet lurking behind the speaker(sneaky bastard)

Its your duty to appreciate Smokescreen as hes by far the best use of the Fairlady mold and i have them all(I actually have another Bookbox SS as a pending Second chance offer but due to lack of funds due to a 9 week old Protoform and ****ed up wages due to paternity leave and no gig tonight Im struggling to justify buying it)
@ Denyer I loved MOTU as a kid but even the power of Grayskull cant justify me buying them and I have thought about it.
C'mon people lets see your pics we can call it Readers Dives

Wow, you must have a pretty large desk, Martyboy, for THAT much TF action…!

My own, left to right (sorry, no photos of it at the mo): three different Darth Vaders, one strapped into his operating/unveiling table, in front of one speaker; Han Solo – tiglo carbon!!! …Sorry, slipped into Ewokese there… the carbonite block version of Han, sitting under the edge of my monitor; (clear) SCF Megatron, and SCF Optimus Prime (standing in front of the Transformers action card version of Megatron’s tech spec); and the Marvel Legends-scale figure of the Hobgoblin from the Spider-Man line – the original Hobgob, not raggedy Macendale – great glider/colors/cape/headsculpt – in front of my right speaker. A LOT of other action figureyness on my dsiplay shelf, inherited from my Mom, which is currently against the wall behind me; but, the above is what I’m lookin’ at as I’m netting. :)

-Movie Stockade
-Movie Jazz

No longer looking for RID Dreadwind, but I still need Smokejumper. I'm also in need of Mammoth Nemesis Prime's tail piece, as my figure lacks it. Send me a PM.

On the desk, itself. I have the Botcon Thundercracker from last year's convention, a lava lamp, three cans of Mountain Dew, cell phone charger and various papers.
I have a flat surface that fits on top of my monitor and on that I have:
-A hula girl that I got from a Yankee Swap this Christmas
-Key chain Cliffjumper-key chain removed
-Senior Siniestro from the McDonald's "El Tigre" toys
-Robot Heroes G1 figs: Grimlock, Prime, Ravage and Shockwave
-An egg with a dino's legs sticking out the bottom and head/neck sticking out the top. The head bounces up and down (it's connected to the inside of the egg with a hook, kinda like those toy dogs that have the bobbing heads)
-Some 1" Sailor doll-type-thing I found.
-A 1cm tall ninja
-a 1cm car and 1.5cm truck with a bulldozer on it's trailer
-Peekin' Zeke
-RID Skyfire (My favorite incarnation of the MW jets)
-GI Joe RHINO
-Boxing Witch pen
-Movie Legends: Rescue Ratchet, Brawl, Jazz and Barricade
-A 1 1/2" Boston Red Sox helmet
-a rosary key chain and a few saints' medals
-metal pen tip
-Oh! Cliffy's key chain part is up there!
-a spool-looking thing that fell out of my DVD resurfacing tool (still works without it so it couldn't have been that important)
-Yukon Cornelius from from the Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer puppet special. You know--the crazy hiker guy who fights the abominable snowman?
-Leader Class Brawl
-A cigar sleeve from a "Hoyo De Monterrey Excalibur"
-a box of kleenex
-various papers

Yeah. It's a large monitor. I think I got it about 5 years ago. Before those newfangled flat-screens. Kinda like it because I can put stuff on top of it.

EDIT: At work, I have a Classics Bumblebee, Cobra Commander from the "Cobra Legions" 5-pack, an egg-shaped clock that can also measure the temperature and display the date and an imperial fort that I made out of an envelope box and an oatmeal cylinder for a tower on top of the building. A clone trooper is stationed on the tower, and Darth Vader is on the roof of the building.

I'm at work...

TFs: A set of Constructicons made up into Devastator; Classics Mirage in root mode; movie Barricade and Ratchet in vehicle mode.

Go-Bot: One Go-bot KO. It's appalling and keeps falling apart.

Others: A punk troll.

All in direct disregard of the 'clear desk policy'....

I dunno, last time I looked (about 2 years ago, :\) the book reissue was pretty cheap... I guess there are just less examples kicking around. IIRC, the Hasbro reissue barely came out, and the original release is still super-rare (he was shortpacked at the time). Shame, because he's a damn fine figure - IMO, possibly the best of the cars.

I knew you were a big fan of the mold so I thought you might know.
He is the one Autobot car from the first 2 years I dont have an example of.
I mean some of the others I would like a better emample of but at least i have them.
Im not paying £15-20 for a junker which is what Skids seems to hit.
Tho if he was few and far between back in the day and the Reissues were dying on their arse by the time he came out it would explain his rarity.

My desk has got WAY to much actual (shudder) work on it at the moment, but buried under some of the debris I have:

The Kremzeek that comes with MP Megs.
A BT* Broadblast in bits undergoing transformation into Gears.
Various parts of Alt Wheeljack & Alt Jazz being changed into parts of Breakdown.

Most of my TFs are on the shelf behind me...does that count?

EDIT: Why not?

I'm lucky enough to work from home so I am surrounded by most of my TFs all day.

On the shelving unit behind me:

MP:
Optimus Prime (20th Anniv.)
Megatron
Starscream (green version)
Skywarp

Alts:
Hound
Bumblebee (was Sunstreaker)
Mirage
Trailbreaker (was Nemesis Prime)
Brawn (was Rollbar)
Silverbolt (was Silverstreak)
Windcharger (actually this is my gf's!)
Ironhide (was Optimus Prime)
Red Alert (was Prowl - still in police colours due to laziness)
Sideswipe
Bluestreak (Silverstreak)
Hot Rod
Smokescreen

Soundwave (was Skids)
Swindle
Ravage (Mk.2)
Rumble
Shockwave
Dead End (was Ricochet)
Wildrider (was Dead End)
Drag Strip (flame me - it's Decepticharge ;) )

BT/BT*:

Wheeljack
Prowl (was Alert)
Cliffjumper (was red Meister)
Jazz (white Meister)
Grimlock
Sunstreaker
Tracks
Skids

Ratbat (was Ravage Mk.1)

Movie:

Leader Brawl

On the shelf on my right I have Movie '08 Bumblebee & an Alt Jazz with Reprolabel stickers.

I have to say, working from home has some advantages! :D

I've been galavanting a lot of late at bizarre hours (ecology - animals don't keep human friendly hours), and have been doing a lot of my 'office' stuff from home lately, so my TFs have spread out quite a bit...

On my desk I have:

- Cybertron Menasor
- Classics Bumblebee
- Classics Astrotrain
- WST Starscream
- LOC Movie Starscream

My only display area for TFs in my current house is actually on top of my filing cabinet, next to the computer, along with some wee ornament shelves above it, given over to wee TFs.

The filing cabinet is currently overloaded with:

- Armada Unicron
- Cybertron Primus
- Movie Leader Brawl
- Movie Voyager Ironhide
- Movie Deluxe Bumblebee '08
- Movie Deluxe Barricade
- Movie Deluxe Dropkick
- Movie Deluxe Landmine

And the shelves have:

- Cybertron Minicon Deepdive
- Classics Minicon Grindor
- Movie LOC Bumblebee
- G1 Bumblebee
- G1 Red Bumblebee
- RID Spychanger Daytonus
- Armada Minicon Wreckage
- Classics Minicon Knockdown
- Cybertron LOC Starscream
- Comicon LOC Skywarp
- Botcon LOC Ramjet
- Cybertron LOC Sunstorm
- WST Grimlock
- WST Convoy & Trailer
- Universe Devastator (Micromasters)
- WST Soundwave
- WST Megatron

However, I feel the tension rising, and no doubt my wife will have the majority relegated to their cardboard box soon! (Normally only have three - five on the filing cabinet...)

MP-04 has found his way onto the bookshelf just now too, and MP-05 is hiding in the cabinet next to our dining table...

Roll on finding a house, and getting a display cabinet!

What's on MY desk?

An autobot cavalcade, by the looks of it...all my Titanium, Classics, Armada and Galaxy Force autobots are on my desk with only a bunch of Armada decepticons to even the scale.
