Brief rundown on the toys on display. An asterisk* signifies that this is the first time we have seen the toy in question or gotten a name confirmation.
Classics:
· Mini-Cons (all new molds): Dinobots (Knockdown, Terrorsaur, Swoop), Night Rescue Team (Stromgarm, Firebot, Divebomb), Demolition Team (Wideload, Sledge, Broadside), Clear Skies Team* (dragon, jet and another jet*), Dirt Digger Team* (motorcycle, muscle car* & monster truck*) and a third, unnamed "beast"-themed team (panther*, tiger* & gobbler*). The name "Dirt Digger Team" was incorrectly applied to the Demolition Team, which we've already seen in packaging.
· Legends: Perceptor (Legends of Cybertron Red Alert repaint), Leo Prime (LoC Leobreaker repaint), Trypticon (LoC Scourge repaint), Fireflight (LoC Jetfire repaint), Autobot Whirl* (LoC Evac repaint), Bumblebee* (LoC Hot Shot repaint), Menasor (LoC Optimus Prime repaint) and Jetfire* (LoC Thrundercracker repaint). Supposedly, Hasbro used the name "Menasor" because they couldn't get the "Motormaster" trademark.
· Deluxes: Grimlock, Mirage, Ramjet (Starscream remold). Ramjet has been previously seen as a resin prototype from the Japanese patent office website. This is the first time he's been seen in full color.
· Voyagers: Jetfire.
· Two-packs: Optimus Prime vs. Megatron (new molds, mass retail), Ultra Magnus vs. Skywarp (Voyager Optimus Prime and Deluxe Starscream repaints, Target exclusive).
Titaniums:
· 3" Robot Masters: Rodimus, Thundercracker (Starscream repaint), Galvatron, G1 Optimus Prime (repaint with battle damage), Soundwave, Cliffjumper (Bumblebee repaint), Sunstreaker (Side Swipe repaint) and Nemesis Prime (War Within Optimus Prime repaint). No new toys that haven't already been displayed at SDCC.
· 6" Cybertron Heroes: Scourge, Optimal Optimus, Rodimus Prime, Soundwave, Cheetor* (Beast Machines version), Sunstorm* (repaint of Thundercracker) and Ultra Magnus (War Within Optimus Prime repaint). RiD Optimus Prime and the Starscream repaint of Thundercracker that were on display at SDCC are nowhere to be seen, oddly.

Furman says look for an IDW Galvatron to show up down the road

Which better not be Megatron+BigOrangeThing... something original'd be nice.

When asked if there are any plans for more female characters in IDW series:
Simon: There has to be a rational for any character he uses. Like for Pretenders, the outer shell never worked for him, but now they have a rationale for it so he is happy to use it. Females never worked for him. Why are there female robots? Until he has a reason why, he won't use them.

+ Why was the Fallen always on fire? Furman: Cause it looked good.

Why do I get the feeling there was more context to the answer than that? i.e. That's how Pat did the design.

+ Can we get more Ratbat? Furman: No reason why we can't have a IDW version. But he wants to do a Soundwave Spotlight which we might see him in.

+ Why does Megatron die in every series? Archer blames Takara for that cause in Car robots when Takara did the white Galvatron it sold really well. So its kind of become a pattern.

+ Were you pleased how the cartoons turned out? Archer - in a designers eye we imaged it to be a lot more elaborate, but due to time and animation and such it felt short of his imagination but he guesses he is happy with it.

+ They don't see how things are during out in the story so they have to be careful about taking liberties when doing the us version cause it could end up not matching up with how the story plays out when the people overseas finish it.

+ What didn't make it in to the scripts or that we didn't see happen? Dave - one of the things that didn't turn out the way he expected Lio Breaker originally was going to take over Jungle Planet. And wouldn't want to leave the planet. + We did the episodes as a serial instead of stand off episodes at the Japanese' request.

+ Dave is pushing for a figure of the Stoplight guy.

+ They wont go into details about the next cartoon. There will be one, but that's all they will say now.

+ In the future you will prob see more new molds for characters that get upgrades instead of flat repaints according to Aaron Archer.

+ For the new cartoon, if they partner with Takara. They are stuck doing more episdoes that connect. If they don't parntner, they would ideally like to go back to a pattern more like the way Beast Wars was done.

+ Archer seemed to be hinting the new series will be done with fewer charcters and more like Beast Wars.
