They're taking this merchandising things a little too far. That seriously exhorted a wtf response from me. Nike did a transforming shoe contest a few years ago, but that made sense, being a shoe company and all. This really has nothing to do with the movie, and it's not like you'll be able to wear them. All in all, this may be the most worthless cross-promotion that they've done.

I guess the iPod and these shoes are what Takara meant when they said they'd be concentrating on 'sports and music'.

Different than I had imagined hearing that...

I think it's likely Hasbro have some form of Monopoly on Tfs thanks to the upcoming movie, and Takara are thinking laterally...
